I'm a big fan of Newstalk's GAA Off the Ball these days, one of my favourite podcasts to listen to on the commute to/from work, anyone in agreement? Joe Molloy is excellent, gets good guests on and isn't afraid to ask uncomfortable questions. Pikeman17 (Wexford) - Posts: 22 - 13/06/2017 12:21:15 1998998 Link 1 |
I'm not such a fan of Molloy when he does GAA, much better on soccer. Mike Quirke was quality last night. Very witty and great analysis.

Have to say I enjoy 2fms game on. It's only an hour long but usually very entertaining. I've the newstalk gaa podcasts, some of them can be great, others fairly boring. I've got big into the podcasts recently. Thoroughly enjoy the NBA ones. gotmilk (Fermanagh) - Posts: 4971 - 13/06/2017 12:55:11 1999017 Link 0 |
I have to admit, I don't listen to it... But on the topic of admitting stuff, I do however listen to Colm Parkinson's GAA podcast the GAA hour, and I love it. Off to wash my mouth out ... !! waynoI (Dublin) - Posts: 13650 - 13/06/2017 13:22:35 1999045 Link 1 |
Yeah big fan of this show. Their post match coverage of the Wexford and Galway victories was excellent. However I would have liked more time given to the other games especially Monaghan and Cavan. panamasam (Australia) - Posts: 2779 - 13/06/2017 13:26:29 1999050 Link 0 |

It's quality. Haven't listened to it for a few months now. Used to be great analysis and craic with him and Senan Connell on the GAA Hour last summer.

Off the Ball can be quite good to be fair. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13705 - 13/06/2017 14:01:21 1999096 Link 0 |
Newstalk and GAA Hour cover GAA excellently. There's also podcasts from the Indo and Examiner. Both are pretty good. All are excellent alternatives to RTE. If there's ever a GAA focused panel on Saturday afternoons they can be very good. The one with retired Kilkenny hurlers springs to mind. Thankfully most of the GAA on OTB is podcasted which is great. From what I've listened to this would be how I'd rank the podcasts: greatpoint (USA) - Posts: 427 - 13/06/2017 15:43:24 1999157 Link 0 |

Well you have said it three times! Oh from a crowded area! tearintom (Wexford) - Posts: 1328 - 13/06/2017 16:49:51 1999202 Link 0 |
One problem I would have with off the ball is the amount of coverage the give to a handful of counties and largely ignore the other teams who are playing that weekend. ros1 (Roscommon) - Posts: 1211 - 13/06/2017 17:02:09 1999210 Link 1 |
the way you were looking at me you'd swear we were talking about you trying to get the shift in coppers lol

Haha. It is still funny even when it's played every show. I really enjoy the gaa hour. Cian Ward is very good. Off the Ball is good as well. The_Fridge (Tyrone) - Posts: 2088 - 13/06/2017 20:10:42 1999298 Link 0 |
