He comes out with stuff like this AFTER a team is beaten. If he thinks Tipp are no good then why not say it in January. He slated Galway AFTER last year's Leinster final. Again, why not slate them the day before that match in his column? The difference between Loughnane and the likes of Joe Brolly is Brolly is consistent and says it as he sees it. He said numerous times over the years that he didn't think Gooch was a great player. It's not just something he said last week to get a bit of notice. Exactly, if Ger doesn't think Tipp are good and he's slatted both Galway and Kilkenny the past few years then who exactly is good Ger? Its Ger being Ger - He likes to go OTT to gain attention - and I guess you could say, he gets it. Note, he has already said this year that Tipp are not as good as people think. I think his main beef with Tipp is more to do with people saying they're a great team. He compares them to Kilkenny/Dublin - so its obvious to see why. I remember after a defeat in Munster a few years ago, Ger Loughnane was on the panel after the match and he said: "The problem with Tipperary is that they have no heart".
