Remove hurling league relegation finals

(Oldest Posts First)

2016:
Kerry beat Laois. Kerry finish 5th in Division 1B and yet they had to play Laois in a relegation final.

2017:
Kerry beat Laois. Kerry finish 5th in Division 1B and yet again they will have to play Laois in a relegation final.

The only reason for the relegation final is guarantee all Division 1A and 1B teams 6 games.

Kerry have played in 4 Munster hurling league games and 5 National hurling league games this year. Having finished 5th, do we want a 6th national hurling league game? No thank you.

One step in right direction:
Division 2A winners will be automatically promoted this year.

They're stupid but it's just so that division 1 teams are guaranteed 6 matches.

The league is treated as a preseason competition by hurling even more than it is in football. That's why there's these daft formats.
