Replying To realdub:  "The Leinster final should be closer this year, I genuinely believe that. Looking at the other side I think Kildare look that bit better, but that game could take on a life of its own."
A competitive Leinster is good for everyone.

But I agree makes for a more interesting provence that's for sure."
And isn't it great for every county in province. Things are looking up that's for sure.

Absolutely mate ,
Leinster football has gone very stale the last number of years, would be great to see it liven up a bit.

looking forward to both Meath, Kildare and Westmeath/Offaly bringing a different and stronger challenge this year, a weak Leinster help no one.

Totally agree, and I believe that Meath or Kildare are still likely to reach Last 8, with maybe one of Louth Westmeath / Offaly having a decent run in back door too

Replying To waynoI:  "yep still feel as confident. Don't get why meath scoring 0-27 against a team who played d3 football in the spring would have me sweatinh

the kildare v meath game is essentially a case of who wants to be runners up in leinster more in my opinion? sound disrespectful? don't care .. not gonna blow smoke up your backsides, we are still miles and mileshe ahead of both.

you lads still haven't played anyone of note.. getting carried away cause of big scores against Fermanagh, Clare and Louth."
Don't forget beating Galway too,
I will say this, no matter who is in Leinster final dubs will have to be good to win it on the day. Not saying they wont, but its not as foregone conclusion as other years, that's for sure.

I think everything is pointing towards Meath this year. Dublin with their predictable disciplinary problems combined with a new look Meath, all points towards a famous success from the royals .

I hope your right.
BTW we would much prefer to beat Dublin with Connolly than without.

For once we agree Royal:) Both Meath and Kildare are improving, probably not enough to win anything this year but I expect either one to get a lot closer to Dublin than past years. Leinster needs a healthier competition than it's had up until now.

Would love a Dublin route through the back door to be honest, just to mix it up and have a few more away games and time into the young players coming through, would also make the quarterfinals fun if we got that far.

Royaldunne I'll give you one thing you have to be the most optimistic poster on hoganstand your loyalty to the cause knows no bounds. Meath do seem to be improving under the present management and it would be great to see them back at the top table with them and the Dubs knocking lumps out of each other something I used to look forward to every year. But the jury is still out until they beat a top 4 team

Ahh sure I've always been a glass half full man.
Look I think both Kildare and Meath will be last 8 this year, that's both our levels could we beat a top 4? Yes once off in a Leinster final say, but to win Sam you would have to do it twice, or three times and no I dont think either county is that far on YET, I think the fourth place is fluctuating between, Donegal (id give us a decent shout) Monaghan (again not beyond realms of possibility) and one of Tyrone or Galway (either I would be disappointed if we didn't beat) the top 3 of Dublin Kerry and mayo , once off yep it could very well happen, but it would still be a shock result, the theme from the McEntee set up is , consistency!! Meath have a very young team with micky burke and graham Reilly (27) been the oldest on panel, Andy brought the majority of the team to all ire minor final, beating the likes of Tyrone and mayo along the way (these two counties are been lauded now because some of those minor are progressing) many people forget that was a damn good Meath minor team (obviously not on par with dubs)
Some have progressed vert well and others unfortunately not, we have found a real gem in young jones and the Christy ring hurling captain from last year has proven what a asset he is to the footballers
All in all we are making nice progress, under a man I regard as been in the top 4 managers in country at minute, might take another couple of years, but we are getting there

RD, this is the same Meath that struggled for 50 minutes to beat Louth....ya? Conceding a bag of scores in the process........?
That Meath?

:)

I think Meath and Kildare have both improved, but until proven otherwise Dublin are still the best team in Leinster and Ireland. Also I think talk of Dublin's demise is greatly exaggerated, they've lost just 1 game in the last 2 years and that was to Kerry, so they still have something!

Hopefully Meath v Kildare is a good competitive game, hopefully whoever wins it goes on to gives the Dubs a right rattle and hopefully that's us ;-)

Liam in all fairness there was only a point in it at half-time but Meath should of been out of sight. Anytime Louth scored, Meath went up the field and scored themselves. I am looking forward to the Meath/Kildare semi-final. It should be a cracker.

I was not aware that 12 scores constituted "a bag", this is information I must use going forward with things that come in dozens, I can now ask for a bag of eggs, or a bag of sausages, or a bag of roses when i need to subdue the wife.......

Ahh I genuinely don't mind this Kildare team and I do wish you well for remainder of year, however until the 18 June I dislike you lot ,significantly:) I
And I want to whip your asses (not literally obviously)
And I would be disappointed if the feeling wasn't mutual:)
It's all out war until then, but afterwards shake hands and move onto dubs
