Attendances 2017

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

the uster championsip crowds are down almost 30% for the first round games - apart from Armagh v down poor crowds at the rest of the games - Also too many games live on tv - 4 last weekend - - Last year both ulster semi finals went to a replay so presuming that doesn't happen again they will be down almost 50% in revenue - Gaa should be very worried at this trend

12,702 at Meath v kildare
Must be smallest attendance for that fixture in a long long time

That's a hell of an attendance at a provincial semi- I'd say there was much less there with 15 to go.

You could add 3 or 4k to that figure, always understated at provincial grounds. Dont want to give too much to Croke Park.

12K at meath v Kildare semi final is just an indication of how much damage Dublins dominance is doing to leinster gaa.

They are expecting a bigger attendance at the hurling leinster final then the football. First time in 20 years apparently.

I was very dubious of that attendance figure it looked far bigger than that from where I was sitting.

60,032 at the leinster hurling final.

Unreal turnout. I think it's the highest ever provincial final attendance for a hurling match. Massive Wexford crowd and a decent Galway crowd. The addition of Galway to leinster and the improvement of Dublin and Wexford hurling teams has really boosted the province.

A very good attendance of 31,836 at todays Munster Football Final, considering
Kerry were overwhelming favourites.

I think we like our day out in Killarney more than supporting our footballers.

Here's a few more crowds for the weekend ..

Meath Sligo 7,212
Donegal Longford 9,915
Mayo Derry 11,465

Offaly Waterford 4,159
Kilkenny Limerick 15,605
Tipp Westmeath 6,893

60,032 at the hurling game yesterday. It must be a record attendance for a provincial hurling final in either Munster or Leinster?

There was over 8100 at the Cork Tipp minor match this evening. That must be some kind of record not only for a Monday but for a minor match too.

Unbelievable crowd. More paid in to see it than the following three front door championship football games:

Cork vs Tipp
Clare vs Kerry
Monaghan vs Fermanagh.

The fist two fixtures involved two all Ireland semi finalist, a quarter finalist and a last 12 team from the 2016 senior championship.
