Thanks Jimbo.

After arguments over players leaving for Aussie Rules. Me being a little unkind and calling you a 'nitwit' once i'm genuinely beginning to like your posts and i think you like mine too. I'm at the stage where when i see so little made of Darran O'Sullivan's abuse of the linesman yesterday i'm almost coming around to your idea of Connolly being a victim and pantomime villain.

P.s. My nephew says he wasn't on hoganstand but just playing Zombie Wars.

Mayo's tackling and intensity was superb yesterday. After ten minutes, you could see Kerry were in real trouble. That Kerry tried to use frees to make a route into the goal rather than attempt to kick over points was a poor call. However, there wasn't much that Kerry got right and so much that Mayo did. Fair Duce and after such a long road to the final and even longer road to Sam. Yesterday I thought they were the best team that I saw all year. Though they didn't play with a similarly defensive game plan, they reminded me of Cork in the Cork v Tyrone semi final in 2009 where Corks intensity, tactics, tackling and skill completely blew Tyrone away.

Cork didn't win the final though but did in 2010. I think this could be Mayos year but may have a different opinion after today's game. Well done Mayo, have to respect a team like this whose resilience is unrivalled; true warriors. Good luck!

Got to say congrats on the Mayo win, much the better team. I have been to numerous games where we have lost to Tyrone and Dublin which have hurt a lot, while the Fans have been gracious in their wins. I had my two children at the game today, and had to move seats with the vile abuse directed at me via a few Mayo fans, must say the next area was fine, I though I was back in the uk at a soccer game with vile abuse.

Let's hope Tyrone or Dublin go on and win this Sam."
I'd have to agree with you, the Mayo fans at our away league game in Castlebar in April were a disgrace,I wouldn't like to have kids with me anywhere near them, many people I know have said they will never go to a game in Mayo again, for this reason also I hope they never win Sam, that's not to say there are also a lot of decent supporters, but they should speak up against this thuggish behaviour.
I have mixed with supporters in Ulster and elsewhere and never seen the likes of the Mayo fans, this low form of vile abuse has no place in the GAA community.

I bet you're on the hill as we speak eagerly awaiting the minor match in a lovely worn 1991 Arnotts jersey.

Best of luck in the senior and may the best team win.

What stamp?

Trying to get a player suspended before you even win your own semi final?

There was a Kerry fan beside us abusing mayo fans. He was asked to stop using vile language as there was kids around. Other Kerry fans were embarrassed by him and wished the Mayo fans good luck for the final in the last few minutes. I'm sure there are idiots from Mayo scattered around the ground but don't judge a county based on a few

I think i know what happened last night. I was typing posts like billio last night and i had my nephew and niece over yesterday and he was playing computer games on my laptop in between. I'll ask him later but i'd say he set up whacker's account and set me up!

The brother is KK1926 and we'll see if whacker reemerges.

Anyway i think people enjoy my posts in answer to RD and like them."

Shur aren't The Hermit, Kingdomboy1 and Horsebox77 all in the top 4 posters liked i see. Ye're more than likely liking each others post.

But mostly i'm the only Laois man commenting.

I'm not in a hole. I was trying to figure out what happened. And as Jimbodub, who is on this forum for years said, he has seen posts put tdown to another user.

If you want to talk about being in a hole. Laois football are in one. And Monaghan are at the bottom of a drumlin everytime they arrive in Croke Park.

So you have access to 3 accounts on HoganStand?

You have mentioned 2/3 times that people must like you as a poster what do you care about anonymous posters on an Internet forum think of you?

As for my self horse and the hermit of course il hit the like button if I agree with 1 of them the same way I'd hit the like button if I agreed with something you or even jimbo said.

And I can guarantee you I have gotten more thumbs down on here than I've got thumbs up and I couldn't care less about either.

As for that popular user thing I wish HoganStand would get rid of it as it adds nothing to the forum, they should leave the thumbs up thumbs down thing though.

Get over yourself. Every county has clowns. An elderly Mayo fan was struck yesterday and a Kerry fan ejected as a result.

I have one account and i couldn't care less if there were 100 dislikes beside a post.

I'm just trying to reason why i get likes.

I talk my mind, with that some like you, some don't. It's not a popularity contest! At my age and being comfortable in my skin what do i care?

Anyway i'm responding to posters saying no wonder you have so many likes as you have multiple posts, posters like yourself.

I'm going to watch this minor match now and looking forward to the senior and if i have something to say about Tyrone or Dublin after i'll say it.

I spoke a lot about Kerry cynicism not being spoken about and them getting away with it for decades. Hardly a bland statement fishing for likes?

Yes every county has their fans that get carried away.

When Laois were playing Dublin in the championship in 1995 (the day Jayo lost his boot and scored his famous goal) i remember some unsavoury racist comments from Laois fans.

Also one very funny incident when a young Dub shouted at a Laois player after a hard tackle 'culchie bas*ard!'. Well this 6ft 4in Laois farmer stood up and roared down at him 'there are no bas*ards in Laois!!'. Well the young Dub nearly did it in his pants and all around fell silent!

Now i have to say even us Laois men doubted the veracity of the big farmer's statement!

Not even in the country chief

In a nice place called Haarlem just outside Amsterdam today, I'm working later so cant even be going near the drink while watching the game and unfortunately they aren't showing the minor game!

Ah well. Have to admit I'm not feeling at all nervous about the game later, no doubt Tyrone could easily win but fair fecks to them if they do.. I'll still be heading to work either way!
