@ulster83 (Tyrone)

You seem to have Monaghan written off? A few posters seem to. I am not sure where this is coming from to be honest. 3/3 is a good start to 2017 and a fair new crop of younger men coming through.

I just don't see the gulf of talent that you believe exists between Tyrone, Monaghan and Donegal. Aside from Monaghan's craptacular performance against Longford last year (most teams have had one or two of these in recent times)...Very little to tell me that we are far behind Tyrone and Donegal. Two games and 1 point is all to separate ourselves and the mighty Donegal.

Dublin, Mayo, Kerry and a kick of a ball between the rest. I am as wary of Cavan, Roscommon as I am of Tyrone and Donegal to be honest.

No doubt our finest player is Conor McManus but he didnt bring us to where we are alone. Its league 1 for Tyrone again after a short absence. Maybe it will go very well, maybe it won't.

We should try to avoid the 'who started it' finger pointing as if you audited the first 5 minutes it would be as complicated as the outbreak of the first world war as to who was to blame.

I would like to see as many of our lads ready and up for a winning start here, as home games are vital to our survival this time."
Didn't say it was a good game, but I enjoyed the atmosphere in amongst the Kerry fans myself.

Did not realise that, I'd assumed he was missing the first couple weeks. Good to hear.

i'm not sure are a lot of people on here being nice to Cavan tipping them to stay up. But I'm not so positive about it. Cavan are the weakest of the group on paper. I really hope I'm wrong but theres a lot of quality experienced teams there. Monaghan and Donegal are some peoples tips to get relegated which i don't really understand. they're squads with a decent age profile with a lot of quality players. the ''one man team'' talk regarding Monaghan is totally wrong. Donegal is never going to be the Donegal of old again, There's a lot of young talent coming through that are willing to put in the work.
Anyway, Cavans fixture list is certainly not conducive to staying up. But we live in hope because it is important for the teams development. best of luck lads!!!!!

I would agree but with a condition. Monaghan are as good as anyone until they get to Croke park. Then they go the way Cork go.

I seem to remember Monaghan giving Dublin a close game in Croke Park in last years league. Maybe my memory is playing tricks on me.

I'd have to agree with that unfortunately. We lack forwards which is going to make staying up a massive ask. In fact, if we were still in Division 2 getting promotion would be a big ask. I think we could very well be weaker than last year as it was the form of Givney that allowed us to play a more direct style and gave us the platform for the push to promotion. But we live in hope. It's not inconceivable that we get one over Roscommon and Monaghan but if we lose either of these games or both then our goose if definitely cooked.

Yeah, him and Mackey ruled themselves out for this year due to work commitments. Keating too. Gearoid McKiernan had a knee op and currently sidelined but hopefully will be back for latter stages. These are huge losses as we're not exactly overwhelmed with forward options but hopefully some others step up to the plate.

Just seen the Tyrone team for their McKenna cup semi-final on Sunday. On paper it looks a hugely impressive team with an equally impressive bench. It looks as if Micky has got himself a panel very capable of going all the way for Sam this year.

Massive losses.Sadly very hard to see Cavan stay up with such losses.

A lot of Tyrone posters would seem to disagree.

We'll probably go down. McKiernan injured for first few games and Buchannan probably out for while leaves us light at midfield. At least we might have the nicest jersey.

I would imagine we will be giving a few lads a serious amount of game time this season. If they scrape into the play-offs some big guns may return, but to be honest, I think we'll end up mid-table.

Think Mackey back.

I see the ticket prices have gone up for this years league games.
last year it was 10 euro up to the day before game and 15 euro on the day.
this year it's 12 euro up to the day before game. Sneaky sneaky

Was it not €10 up to the day before and then €12 on the day last year? I think they did two increases this year with the €12 before to €15 on the day price.
