Who is most likely to beat the Dubs 2017

Wee (Louth) will beat Meath after we beat Wicklow!

Wee will then be hammered by Dublin, only to regroup and get to the All Ireland final only to be hammered by Dublin again.

It'll be interesting to revisit this thread in September when all is said and done.

For my part, I can't see anyone outside Mayo, Donegal or Kerry beating Dublin. Tyrone have the players but teams know exactly how they'll play, they're too predictable. There's been very little between Kerry, Mayo and Dublin over the past few years and it won't take much of a dip in Dublin's performance or an improvement from Kerry/Mayo for either of them beat Dublin. Donegal are a little further behind but I still have nightmares about the 2014 semi-final, I'll never write them off in a knockout scenario.

Side note: It'll be the most interesting Leinster championship in years. Kildare, Meath and Westmeath all looking strong but don't think any of them have enough to actually beat Dublin. *touches wood*

I see Kerry winning this years all Ireland..actually i think Kerry could win 2 or 3 of those all Irelands in the next six years..I believe Galway are going to be the next emerging team ! I also still think Donegal have another all Ireland in them ! Tyrone on the other hand need a new manger with fresh ideas to spoil this Kerry team victory parade !

Leinster will be competitive again,i think by 2019 you could very well have four division one teams all from Leinster! But i can't see a Leinster team winning a all Ireland for another few years and that includes Dublin !

I look at Paul Flynn, Diarmuid Connolly, Stephen cluxton ,Bernard Brogan and Alan Brogan(gone) none of them have a u21 or minor all ireland titles ..when they started their career with Dublin football they only knew one thing bad beatings from Kerry,Tyrone and others and Hard times ! But hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men and weak men create hard times !

Paul Flynn, Diarmuid Connolly, Stephen cluxton ,Bernard Brogan and Alan Brogan are probably up their with the greats who ever played the game..in their early days they were called Junior footballers and bottlers..now at their age their body will start betraying them sadly from a football fans point of view who loves watching them play ! The young Dublin lads who only know good times and never seen a hard tough horrible day in croke park, well their heads will eventually betray them when it happens ! Human nature thats all it is !"

Alan Brogan captained Dublin to the u21 title in 2003. Bernard was in the squad and won Leinster u21 in 2005.

Cluxton won Leinster and played in the u21 final in 2002.

Connolly won the Leinster u21 hurling title.

Hardly "hard times".

Just did a quick calculation on the Dublin panel there 99 All Ireland Winning Senior medals on the Dublin panel.

That is ridiculous and some achievement i wonder which current county is the closest to that.

Actually in the breakdown what is noticeable on individual players is the numbers, wave after wave of players coming into the squad year after year, some lads on 4,3,2,1.

Augers well especially with the 2014 team and 2017 All Ireland U21 teams still largely to be integrated.

Louth have to beat Wicklow first. Louth have not beaten Meath in the Championship since 1975. Wee have been very close on a few occasions since then. Louth will be missing a few players who performed very well in the league. Derek McGuire is away to the States for the Summer and Andy McDonnell is injured and could be out up until two months. Roll on the Championship for the Wee County! An Lu Abu!

If Louth overcome Wicklow mark down the 4th of June in your calendar. You will get a chance to sample Dublin's home ground.

Don't mention war TheUsername. Don't mind 1690. Louth v Meath is the real battle of the Boyne.

Anyone from Mayo, Donegal, Tyrone, Kerry can catch Dublin but I am more confident of Dublin retaining sam this year than I was this time last year. I believe Dublin would have learned so much from the League Final so many of the established players didn't see much game time will firing and rearing to go. I fancy a Dublin V Mayo final

Royaldunne wee shall take one game at a time. Two weeks today Louth takes on Wicklow. The Sunday game theme is just around the corner. Louth have a great record against Wicklow. In the eighteen championship matches Louth have only lost three times to the Garden County. Roll on two weeks. An Lu Abu.
