FAO Kerry, Mayo, Dublin + Tyrone fans

Mayo or Tyrone, hard to choose.

Would be nice to see Mayo finally get over the line and their fans are good company in and around matchday.

Mickey Harte and Sean Cavanagh deserve some more success given the commitment they have given to Tyrone since their last win.

Like a few here I couldn't care less who won it if Dublin were beaten, an easier question for me who would I hate to see win the big one
1) Kerry - can't tolerate there yerra superior saviours of the game crap.
2) Mayo - I would hate to see win an all-ireland what they did to the previous management I would hate to see Sam rest in mayo and then seen as a justification for there shocking treatment of Holmes and connelly.
3) Tyrone - I used to love the Tyrone team of the 00's my favourite player was Stephen O'Neill they were way more attack minded back then than they are now.

Ah please......evrybody in Ulster has had to listen to Down fans bragging for years about being the "Aristocrats of Ulster Football",or how you've never been beat by Kerry in championship football.Until the noughties I'd lost count of how many times the modest people of Down liked to constantly remind other Ulster counties of your 5 all Irelands.I cheered yuz on in the 90's games by the way.You have plenty fans yourselves that are hard to listen to.Thank god we produced a few great teams ourselves in recent times or we'd still be hearing yez blow yer trumpet from the top of the mournes! We gave yez a nice "batin" in Ulster this year though right :) :)

It's been far too long. 2 or 3 generations constantly disappointed is way too long for such a county that loves its football. I think I'll head straight for Mayo if they do win it. It would be an almighty session"
I'm sure counties like Sligo, Fermanagh, Wicklow and Carlow to name a few love their football just as much as Mayo people.

Folk talk about the heartbreak of being a Mayo fan. Try being a fan of a county team in division 4 with little or no chance of winning a championship game most years let alone the chance to play in all Ireland finals.

Dublin, Kerry, Mayo, Tyrone and a few other teams fans have it handy.

Travelling 9,10,11 round trips to Croke Park isn't handy from a cost or emotional wellbeing perspective 3/4 times a year

Kerry Football has earned everything it has won and it certainly isn't handy given population, economy and transport constraints

Sligo, Fermanagh, Wicklow, and Carlow haven't come close to winning an all Ireland in God knows how many years. I'm sure fans of these counties aren't hoping to be lifting Sam in September, I'd say they're a bit more realistic.

Mayo on the other hand have been considered contenders many times since they last won it. To consistently fail at the last or penultimate hurdle is much more tortuous than supporting a county that realistically has little to no chance in the first place.

Add in all the travel expenses and dedication year after with no ultimate reward You'd have to be fairly hard nosed to begrudge them one year of glory.

It amazes me the amount of anti Mayo posts on here ,it seems like a lot of people take great pleasure in seeing them falling short. As a Connacht person id dearly love to see Mayo win the all Ireland, the resilience that team has shown despite all the setbacks down the years amazes me, most teams would have thrown in the towel a long time ago, they keep coming back every year with no guarantee it will have a happy ending and they may never get that elusive all Ireland. They have a huge task ahead against a fine kerry side
Just to get to a final and even then Dublin
or Tyrone (both great teams) would have to be overcome as well as all the mental baggage with losing finals over the years , the odds suggest its a bridge too far but the unquenchable spirit of this team means its not impossible. Connacht has only won two all Ireland's in the last 50 years i would love to see Mayo bring Sam across the Shannon, good luck lads

If we don't get there, it would be a very interesting and novel final with Tyrone and Mayo, not sure who I'd want to win though, they're both pretty big rivals. Kerry have won enough :D

Would like to see Mayo finally get over the line if we can't do 3 in a row, the fans have suffered enough!

If Tyrone don't win it I'd prefer see Dublin win it.

It has to be Tyrone for me. I hate the way they play right now, but I've huge respect for Mickey Harte, plus the fact that the team of the noughties tore up the script when it came to complying with expectations that they should just roll over. They drove Spillane to distraction!

Nothing against Kerry or the Dubs, and love the attacking football both set out to play. That we've consistently had 4 competitive sides every year for most of this decade is lost on some people. The 70s, 80s, 00s, were limited to a couple of sides being competitive for Sam. The 90s was an aberration, Meath and maybe Down apart (though not at the same time) no one was any use!

Mayo - no reason other than it will sustain that county for the next 60 years.

Even though I am a Meathman and we had to put up with a lot of resentment from them, I would definitely pick Mayo.

Ordinarily it would be Tyrone after that but they are too negative so it would have to be Kerry after that.

So the Meath vote is for Mayo followed by Kerry followed by Tyrone followed by Dublin in a distant last. That's not having a go as i supported them in their 1st year back winning. Also mucho respect to the Dublin team squad and management, they have brought football to a whole new level.

Have to say that answer saddens me, there are a number of dublins panel I don't like and is say to the same dislike as you but i wouldn't be of the same opinion when it comes to seeing them winning. Very vindictive of you jimbo I could probably name the guilty party as they are named regularly by supposed Dublin fans on social media even when mayo and Dublin are playing. When it comes to who is like to win I'd say Tyrone because they haven't won it lately but after that Dublin seeing as the are in the midst of an era defining run and for kerry they could do with another year without Sam ye pads don't know what a famine is lol a bit vindictive on my part.
