Cavanagh reads the game as well as O'Sullivan, is equally quick but is much stronger in the air. Any team would love to have either in their ranks

Well at least Tyrone aren't being written off with a snowballs chance in hell like we were in 2014, a Tyrone win wouldn't surprise me but they'd have to play better than they have in years, that's not impossible, Tyrone are an improving team,
Dublin are a great side no doubt about that, but they can be beat, so I give Tyrone a good chance but I still expect Dublin to win.

Replying To cacsmckilly:  "Royal dunne - your entitled to give your opinion on how the match will go. But i hope your doing so based on your assessment of the current Tyrone team and not based on past performances and teams of late. There are five changes in the starting line up that got beaten by Mayo. P.hamsey all ireland winner for U21's 2015, has come in to replace J.McMahon in the half backs.Keiran McGeary another U21 all ireland winner has solidified his position in the starting line up along side David Mulgrew who is a scoring machine. Out of favour players McCurry and Oneill cant make the team as well as C.McShane or R.Mcnabb all of which helped Tyrone win Ulster last year, theses guys all demoted to the sideline.

Dont be judging Tyrone this year based on previous championships, this is a whole new animal.

Looking forward to it."
Royal assesses Tyrone as he always does - based on a massive dislike and chip on his shoulder of red hands - just look at all his posts!

he has every right to be upset with rte, and again it won't sit well if tyrone beat the dubs, what will they do then for unbiased coverage over the 3rd weekend of sept?

I thought Off The Ball was very good on the game this evening, they had Enda McGinley and McKeown from the Herald. They had an excellent insight, especially McGinley, and understanding of the way Dublin and Tyrone can operate, and it was almost scientific, very interesting altogether.
First decent discussion on the match I've heard so far.

In fairness Liam I don't think that deep down you even believe that yourself.

Replying To Liamwalkinstown:  "Not a bad post atall Byantheon, I will pull you up on one thing tho, I wouldn't swap Cian O'Sullivan for 2 Colm Cavanagh's for my sweeper.

Apart from that tho, a lot of sense in what you say. Should be a cracker."
Colm Cavanagh is a better sweeper that O'Sullivan.

Replying To Liamwalkinstown:  "If they do that and force Dublin into long range kicking, all your doing is inviting Diarmuid Connolly to almost beat you on his own, and by God, if he starts kicking them he wont stop. Remember Dubs Tyrone 2011?"
Remember Donegal 2014? Connolly and Flynn scored a few long range points and then nothing after that.
Tyrone will not push up on Dublins kick outs. Wouldn't make sense to Tyrones game plan.
So many intriguing sub plots and match ups. Can't blooming wait!!!!

McGinley has impressed my with his analysis of games. He writes a piece in the Irish news as well, you should check it it out.

Lads, if you asked 100 Dubs fans would you swap COS for Colm Cavanagh, 100 would say no! :)
Not for 2 of him!
Not in a fit, COS is far and away the best sweeper in the country, just watch tomorrow, and learn!!
(Again..)

Ah,the big event approaches and has been predicted for months.
Then of course the hype closer to the day ,the trash talk ,the fans on each side throwing their tuppence in and planning where to watch it if they havn't got a ticket.
Should be some fight though and will probably go the distance.
Mayweather on points for me.

And if you asked 100 Tyrone fans if they'd swap Colm Cavanagh for O'Sullivan how many would say yes?

This Tyrone side don't really do hammerings and the past few games between these two sides have been very close. Kildare really put it up to Dublin for an hour and Tyrone are better than Kildare. I think the Dubs can be rattled and really tested in this game.

I expect to be at least rattled, of course Kildare put it up to Dublin, they had some heart unlike some teams. But Dublin played them without shoring up at the back because they knew they'd beat them. Its horses for course with this Dubs side, watch how differently they approach tomorrow, they'll hold ball, recycle and pick holes.
