Wow. Really. No comment on Roscommon fans booing Andy Moran every time he simply touched the ball? Top man

It was like last years All Ireland Final (first game) especially with the own goal Dublin drew with Mayo and one of the worst games i have ever been at But it was still exciting stuff Scarabin (Dublin) - Posts: 116 - 31/07/2017 07:25:41 2026366 Link 0 |
It is the decisions on the sideline that has cost this team again. Leave a player, L Keegan, playing on the full back line in the second half after he scores 1:02 in the first, is crazy and shows the management are clueless. Giveitago (Mayo) - Posts: 86 - 31/07/2017 08:24:33 2026377 Link 0 |
One game at a time Muck, but that Kerry defence would give anyone hope. The key is getting enough ball... Kerry midfield is performing excellently and they look well sorted to put up a score. It's all about next week for us though.

No surprise at all to hear the negative comments from the Sunday Game panel, a glass half empty crew if ever I saw it. Froget the fact Roscommon got 2-2 in first ten minutes, lee keegan driving mayo back into the game with 1-3 (og or no og have to credit him with the goal) As a Rossie fan with ten minutes to go I OverBlackSpot (Roscommon) - Posts: 47 - 31/07/2017 08:57:37 2026393 Link 0 |
I once seen a comment that the GAA would be better off without Mayo......would it? I think our games have given more entertainment to the neutrals than any other team. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11219 - 31/07/2017 09:08:11 2026403 Link 0 |
Hard to believe we got a draw out of it especially after our forwards failed to perform, really worrying for us. salvador (Roscommon) - Posts: 439 - 31/07/2017 09:13:56 2026411 Link 1 |
Cheers for that jimbob, sure we will void the replay and give Kerry the walkover to the final so. Whats the point in having a go at them when mighty men like yourself has passed judgement, May we all bow down to your glory and wisdom! Actually if you read the other thread I've condemned it too. Whatabouttery at it's finest here.

What about Cillian O Connor "shouldering" a Roscommon player to the head? Or the free that should never have been where Cillian tried to pull back the defender who cleared the ball and when they tangled up Cillian falls to the ground getting a soft free? Or in the first half when he struck Niall McInerney on the side of the head after the ball was played away by McInerney? Your very quick to point out when your wronged, but Mayo, and particularly Cillian gets away with a lot of petty s*#te off the ball.

Ah take off your glasses...Mayo forward Like didn't perform either...AOS has his worst game of the year so far. Both sides found the slippery conditions difficult...hoping for a hard dry ground the next day yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11219 - 31/07/2017 09:45:16 2026440 Link 0 |
Sure they are all saints in Mayo, Croagh Patrick is not there for no reason. Can guarantee ya that!

Mayo management are away with the fairies, 4 of our starting 6 forwards played nearly 100 minutes of football against Cork 8 days earlier, they were wrecked yet they chose to start them, Mayo are leaking in the backs like every game yet no sign of trying to plug the gap, players seem to be marking spaces and not the opposition, man marking is gone completely, we need a full back, the management remind me of an ordinary junior club team where the same 15 start every game and when one gets injured they are put into full forward to take up a spot and take a rest. How many times yesterday did the 2 O'Connor's, AOS and McLoughlin seem slow or tired, not making the same runs, not showing for the ball, lazy tackling, they were off their feet, very poor decision to start them, I would have brought them on for the 2nd half and try to get 35 mins of football out of them rather than 70 mins plus of shadow antics. We played the entire game with 1 midfielder and half the time the kick outs were put to the opposite side of the pitch where SOS was standing, out of the 2 management teams who performed the best? What's all this talk about "standard" and "quality of play"? A game is a game. One team wins ultimately and the other loses.Do they have to take the field to please the customers and Sunday Game critics? worple (Roscommon) - Posts: 339 - 31/07/2017 10:47:44 2026500 Link 1 |
Are mayo now the team everyone wants to see beaten? There was a map recently of 31 counties being up for mayo against Dublin. I think it's gone full circle now and all the neutrals would shout for anyone but them? tiobraid (Tipperary) - Posts: 4119 - 31/07/2017 11:43:54 2026544 Link 0 |
Brolly and Spillane are not happy until we see a scoreline of 3-13 to 2-17 or something between those sides. And then they'll be complaining the game is too open of course! Cant please the panel of nay-say warriors, come back Canavan and the digital "Hold it there" TV analysis all is forgiven! OverBlackSpot (Roscommon) - Posts: 47 - 31/07/2017 11:52:21 2026556 Link 0 |
So ye'll need to practice a bit of howling for next week Salva. In fairness it's great to be playing another side who are well supported. Mayo supporters have had very little to compete with so far this year.

Jimbo forgets about the two OG's which ultimately delivered Sam for the Dubs last year and is no doubt a believer in the sliding doors theory that Dublin would have found another way (can't argue with creationists). At least Leeroy's shot was going to require a save by the keeper.
