Kerry v Mayo

Talking about serious rain on the way

Perhaps painful memories of 2015 will come back to haunt Kerry? ;)

In all seriousness looking forward to this one.. let's hope the rain holds off until after the game as it will no doubt wreck the quality of the game

Croke Park pitch isn't fit for purpose under those conditions

Sort of ridiculous isn't it and not helped by them ripping up the pitch during the championship

Jesus haven't looked forward to a game this much not involving my own county in years , surely Durkan starts class player? Who picks up Star? Is O Donoghue fit? Will O Shea finally show the whole country what he's really made of in a big game? Loads more questions to be answer today can't wait.

Really looking forward to this game as well. After the drawn game against Roscommon I thought Mayo were out on their feet and were just waiting to get knocked out but in the replay they were fantastic. Are Mayo hitting form at the right time? I would still fancy Kerry to have too much but wouldn't be surprised if Mayo win.

Drops of rain here already Jim so I doubt we'll escape, and I think the grounds men are more interested in the pitch looking good than playing good.

That's the problem alright.. looks lovely but you'd have a public park pitch hold better grip!

Yeah it's not looking good with the weather, only hope is the really heavy stuff holds out.

Here's to a good game

Mayo have been on the ropes a couple of times this summer in games but have made it to the final 4 so I would not be surprised at all to see them turn Kerry over despite what some of the "experts" say in the media. Croker's pitch hasn't been great with the concerts and rain won't help but hopefully it's a good game of football which I think it will be despite the bad weather.

I have tipped Kerry to make the AI Final from very early in the season but I have to say the closer it got to throw in today - the better chance I now give Mayo.
Wouldn't surprise me at all for the Mayo lads to pull it off.

Looking for to a battle.

What a start by Mayo, what were the Kerry full back line thinking there but great finish by Moran.

Mayo just gifted that Kerry free. Might need to
be careful about conceding frees like that.

This game has the makings of a cracker.
Great intensity by Mayo.

O'Shea marking Donaghy? Surely he won't stay on him for the 70? Mayo will need further out the field? Moran showing his class again, get the back into his chest and he will pop over in bang a goal 1-1 already.

Kerry just don't panic.
Mayo may rue those early missed chances.

Good start to the game, tough, fair tackling and good tempo.

Mayo could be 7 or 8 up but not taking all their chances.
You'll find that'll be costly in the end.

Kerry's defence is very, very suspect at the moment and there are more goals for Mayo there.

Mayo giving soft scoreable frees away and only 1 up but could/should be more than that up and could well rue some of those missed chances by full time. You need to take every chance against Kerry.

Kerry very lucky they got to take and score that free after Jack Savage lashed out. Jack himself is lucky to have only got a yellow! Good entertainment so far !
