Replying To Wally:  "Your some craic calling me a keyboard warrior. You have 3 times more post's than I have!

Kid I don't know why I said that a few years ago it's that long ago. Maybe I momentarily had a lapse if judgement.

Point is you will blindly follow the totalitarian dictatorship that is Mikey Harte regardless of how awful or counter productive our play is.

One game and you idiots are having convulsions.

Come back to me later in the year when you actually have something to praise the management about."
In fairness Wally it sounds like sour grapes instead of fair criticism. If you as recently as 2/3 years ago say that they were playing good football but in another breathe say they haven't been playing good football in 8 odd years it means you're not being consistent at best. At worst it sounds you might have a personal axe to grind with Mickey Harte. Perhaps due to a club rivalry or because somebody you know or from your club didn't get picked or something along those lines. Anyway we should all be glad of the good start to this Ulster championship and get behind the lads and if they can win Ulster then they can certainly push on and challenge for the Sam.

Momentarily lapse? Another quote from less than a year ago "What more up our sleeves? More than the 127 points throughout the league and the 3-14 against Derry and 5-34 over two games against Cavan in the championship?"

So again I ask, you don't go to games for 8 years because of the type of football they play but come on here defending Tyrone and Harte less than a year ago.
Seems to me your quite confused.

Replying To ctowers:  "I think thats the moment we find out if they are a proper team . They "bottled it" against mayo last year, game was there for them but the fear of losing stopped them pushing to score enough to win. Great performance V Donegal , clever around the centre field and great pace in attack but they also got it easy from donegal. The difference in physicality in the tackle and in breaking one on one tackles was so stark that ir was really surprising. Its down to who do you affirm that to . V good tyrone or Poor donegal. Monaghan played a bit more attcking in the league and then reverted to type in the summer . Will Mickey Harte revert to what he knows best when the pressure game comes (semi or final) or is it he finally has a squad of players to play this way ? Wont know but definitely contenders in the top 3/4 where games are won and lost mostly on the odd score"

Monaghan have scored 2-35 in their two games this summer, not bad for a team 'reverting to type'

Replying To Wally:  "Sure you go ahead and keep burying your head in the sand.

I would rather watch my club football (which is actually entertaining) than the muck that Tyrone have produced over the past decade.

Now if we have somehow miraculously decided to play some attractive type of football then I might change my tune and attend a few Tyrone games but I doubt that will happen on any sort of consistent basis until Mickey finally finally stands aside."
Ah poor wally. Did Mickey Harte not consider your cousin for the panel over one of the past 14 years. You obviously have some axe to grind

Observing from a distance I predicted last year that Tyrone would win A. I . in 2017. As it was they came nearer to winning it last year than any other team outside Dublin. If they had Sean Kavanagh for the last 15 minutes against Mayo they probably would have beaten Mayo. And if Tyrone were there against Dublin in that first (drawn) game, they might very easily have won as Dubs were there for the taking.....

Its good scoring but take the opponents in mind. They have players in their team as good as any county but I just think the fear factor takes hold and stops them pushing up a level and playing into contention .

It's so funny that unless you tow the tyrone/micky harte party line then you must have an axe to grind.

I have absolutely no hidden agenda.

I just don't agree that we are somehow world beaters after one game.

Let's be honest we generally play horrible football under micky harte. Last Sunday was the exception not the norm.

Id agree with this one of our biggest weaknesses is killing teams off the really top sides do it. Instead we might dominate a game but generally win the hard way which expends a lot of energy and catches up as year progresses.

Tyrone are without doubt in the Top 4 teams in the country with Mayo, Kerry and Dublin.

They are a cert for All Ireland Semi's but they will need to reproduce the performance v Donegal to have any chance. If they revert to the same tactics they inexplicably used in the closing stages of the Mayo semi last year, then they will Not win Sam.

Jury still out on Tyrone for me. Yes they are very difficult to beat but have they that killer edge?

I was at the All Ireland final in 08 and man that was some Tyrone team. For all the talk about their defence they had killer forwards. Great team they were.

Is anyone else fed up with this 'top 4 or top 5' teams in the country nonsense, its right up there with 'he's the best full back in the country' etc.etc. it reminds me of the rubbish we used to hear from English soccer pundits about their players being 'world class' whatever that was supposed to mean,I never seen much evidence of it when the chips were down.
there must be half a dozen best full backs in the country at this stage,
Tyrone have the ability to win Sam this year there is no doubt about that, football is all on the day as we seen yesterday with that brilliant Down performance. hunger is key and going by that rationale I think Kerry will win Sam this year, they have lost to the Dubs too many times in recent years and that doesn't sit well in the Kingdom.

A lot of If's. What happened happened. You can say what if Mayo hadn't missed free at the end of their Game with Dublin. Or what if Kerry had capitalized more on Cluxtons bad game. No one remembers ifs, only the winner and that has not been us for a while. We are not a top 4 team until we are in the last 4.. regardless of our performances this year so far.

Tyrone have moved way ahead of the rest of the contenders in Ulster and look odds on to meet Dublin in the All-Ireland semi finals. They really couldn't have played much better so far and look so well set up. It would be a fascinating match if Tyrone and Dublin meet. Dublin would be favourites but I would defintely give Tyrone a good chance.

Hard to see Kerry not making it through the other side of the draw, they look excellent this year.

They have a good chance if they keep themselves grounded for the next game. I believe they will be playing either down/monaghan or armagh/kildare. If it happens to be kildare, it is a tough, tough game. I cant see armagh nor down/monaghan doing any damage, unless monaghan play the game of their lives.

Another point worth looking at is that if we consider the big 3, Dublin, Kerry and Tyrone...none of them have played and beaten anyone of note yet.
I think that the only team that have done this were Galway beating Mayo.

Hard to judge. It might not be until the semi final stage before we know more about who is who.

Tyrone have been on another level so far, I've no doubt they'll take care of whoever they face in the quarters setting up a massive semi final against the Dubs. No disrespect to those coming through the qualifiers but I don't think any of the qualifier teams apart from maybe Mayo if they lifted themselves for it could handle Tyrone on current form.

Tyrone beat a disappointing Down team yesterday, I don't think anyone can talk about them contending again until they beat a big team in Croke Park. In 9 years since they won their last All Ireland they've only managed to beat Monaghan (2013, 2015) and Kildare (2009) in quarter finals.

Instead of coming up with reasons why Tyrone won't win an AI because Derry, Donegal and Down are all apparently rubbish - let's celebrate that there's a team out there that will challenge the Dublin Kerry duopoly - with Mayo gaining momentum and Kildare improving and Donegal and Monaghan sneaking through the backdoor I for one won't be making the easy and lazy prediction that it's Dub and Kerry only.

The point of my post being that it is a leap to say at this point that Tyrone are a team to challenge Dublin or Kerry considering they've haven't won a big game in Croke Park in nearly a decade. Did you misread it?
