Yep it's an interesting competition. It'd be great if the league were played later and was used instead of the qualifiers to get the AI semifinalists.

The ref in KK v Waterford game is a disgrace, rugby tackle on hogan line ball to Waterford , KK lad broke up and Waterford lad gets a yellow shocking ke40 (Kildare) - Posts: 209 - 12/02/2017 15:15:35 1955222 Link 0 |

In the past Kilkenny would bully them. They tried today at the start again but Waterford stood up to them as gave as got as the got. Hogan was the first incident and was lucky not to be sent off. Canuck (Waterford) - Posts: 2642 - 12/02/2017 15:59:17 1955264 Link 0 |
Great start to the season by cork. It's looking like Clare vs Dublin in the relegation match with Clare prevailing. Tony Kelly is on fire. Killarney.87 (Tipperary) - Posts: 2513 - 12/02/2017 16:03:41 1955269 Link 0 |
Fair play to Waterford. Stood up to KK which at times was not pretty. I dont think Waterford care at this stage whether beating KK is ugly. Waterford are serious contenders this year. They should be well capable of taking Tipp next weekend. ZUL10 (Clare) - Posts: 693 - 12/02/2017 16:11:50 1955278 Link 0 |
Serious contenders after 70 minutes of hurling in Febrary ? Really ?

Hon the mighty hurling Kingdom. With a little luck we'll be safe now for another year in 1B! TheHermit (Kerry) - Posts: 6354 - 12/02/2017 19:47:58 1955532 Link 0 |
heard mullane on radio 1 today saying he was a fan of the current league structure but felt its tough on the 1b teams that only 1 gets promoted. bostonredsox (Wexford) - Posts: 4368 - 13/02/2017 02:02:35 1955857 Link 0 |
Dublin getting relegated. Can't see any other outcome. I know the Cuala lads are to come back but I just cannot see where or how we will get the win to keep us up. A short summer again is on the cards with Galway first up. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13693 - 13/02/2017 08:49:55 1955886 Link 0 |

Great that the season has started already. Unfortunately, didn't get to see much more than the highlights. Had the nice little double of Waterford/Wexford come in at good odds. Just a pity I didn't show faith in the 4 other predictions. tiobraid (Tipperary) - Posts: 4119 - 13/02/2017 10:08:35 1955955 Link 0 |
Would agree with you there as you say even with the Cuala lot we just don't have the strenght in depth.

Well when this division by beating Clare the rules were changed after the competition ended (probably because 'Limerick won a match')

I created that about a month ago, god these Limerick lads are some sore losers. Pinkie (Wexford) - Posts: 4100 - 13/02/2017 14:37:18 1956175 Link 0 |
I know he could get injured in training just as easily but just say, God forbid, he had broken his leg against Cork the other night. If I was a member of Ballyea management team, or a player or a supporter even, I would be absolutely livid with him and the Clare management. Theres a fair chance that Ballyea will never get to an All Ireland again. Presuming Ballyea trained over the weekend, he should have been with them. The difference of having guys like Kelly and Jack Browne training with club makes training 10 times better for everybody. He'll probably have 3 Fitzgibbon matches to play before the All Ireland too so there was no need for him to be playing Saturday night.
