National - Dublin v Mayo. Who will win the 2017 All Ireland football final?

Ok I'll start the thread then. Who wins? For me I want Mayo to do it, I think it would be a huge travesty for the best Mayo team in half a century not to win an All Ireland. Let's be honest. If it had been any other period Mayo would have at least two all Ireland titles by now.
But then you have arguably the best ever football team in Dublin ,
Dublin look unbeatable, but sure who knows with Mayo. Best of luck to both in the final. They are the best two teams in the country by some distance. May the best team win.

Its going to be difficult no doubt, and if we lose our so called bottler tag at croke park will have gained further momentum .
Mayo wont go there in fear.

It's gas. Mayo get called bottlers on here every year but it is obvious they are playing the best squad ever assembled in living memory. They can do no right!

Dublin looked unbeatable today but I am sure Mayo won't be as accommodating as a Tyrone team hamstrung by negativity.
Mayo are bigger, fitter, tougher and have better footballers.
Still think the 3 in a row is on though.

You sure can do it, Mayo NEVER EVER know when they're beaten and fight till the very end as shown this season probably more than most. I've been following Dublin for donkeys years through good and bad times and it is the best Dublin team/squad I have ever seen and Mayo might have that elusive All Ireland by now if it weren't for Dublin. It's going to be alot closer than the two semi finals that's for sure as all Mayo v Dublin games usually are. Mayo have been on the ropes a couple of times in the qualifiers but are in the last two so anything can happen on the day. Two teams playing great football and just going score for score which should be an amazing contest. The heart can't usually take it but roll on the 17th.

Would love to see Mayo finally reach the Promised Land but it's hard to see this Dublin side losing the final. They annihilated Tyrone today and I felt they were playing within themselves.

You'd have to think mayo left it behind last year and can finally make the breakthrough.

This team are different gravy. The games against Kerry and the journey through qualifiers will stand to mayo.

Dublin not tested at all and have proven to be fallible.

Provided rochford and co don't have a brain fart I'm going for mayo by 2.

Dublin have had no test, and did not deal with a close encounter since league. Tyrone were shocking/unprepared, they never left a finger on them, Mayo will not let the Dubs walk around with the ball. Best 2 teams in final for sure. Mayo by 3

Mayo have the momentum and seem to have the bit between their teeth but this Dublin team are definitely better, faster, and fresher than last year.

Hopefully we will peak at the right time and the extra break they got in Jan-March will stand to them.
Last year we were out on our feet and there for the taking for sure.

We have not had the fright that Mayo have had this year and not been thoroughly tested.

That will change in the final though.

Gonna be some game....

Mayo have been immense and it would be great to see them get over the line but unfortunately for them they are playing the best team ever. The Dubs to win by around 10 points.

Really wish we weren't playing playing Mayo as i really want this group of Mayo footballers to win Sam.

I'm on record here as saying that I think this group will be the ones to finally bring Sam back West so it's difficult to predict otherwise.

All I'll say for now is that if we lose this final it'll be great to see these Mayo men get over the line.

In saying that though I think Dublin have a great chance of doing the 3 in a row if they play to their capabilities.

Both teams play a very similar type of game so it hopefully will be a fast open game. With the type of game that both teams play I think it will be down to the bench and Dublin definitely have the advantage there.

Can't see Dublin being beaten if they play like they did yesterday, though our lads will not give up anything easily.

In spite of Mayo's deserved victory on Saturday, we still hit several wides and allowed Kerry three goal chances. A repeat of this will not suffice against the Dubs.

Will be signing off social media until after the game, as games between these two sides seem to bring out the worst in too many people, and life is too short.
