Have you ever been wrong ?

Hoganstand is a great place for lads coming on to say I told you so , some I believe have a bank of old posts to lay their hands on just in case , however as in life everyone is wrong as often as right , so tongue in cheek what's your worst gaff ever , keep it GAA or sport related..
GAA completely wrong on Michael Fitzsimonns , never thought he'd amount to much last year .
About six seven years ago I said B Cody and Kilkenny were finished.
But my biggest misjudgement I told all my mates when a certain Tiger Woods turned professional that he was overrated all hype opps.

Great Thread!

Have always backed Cavan, no matter how unlikely a result, but I suppose that's true of most fans.

I've backed Mayo for Sam for each of the last 4 years - and already have done so for 2017!

I have on occasion doubted stephen cluxtons place on the Dubs team. Everytime i have done so i have ended up with egg on my face, the weekend just gone being another example. This utter legend of a man continues to make a fool of me! Cluxton #1legend

Every week the "Alliance league predicitions" throw up a multitude of my gaffs Or that based on league form Mayo are dead and buried but they just keep rising like zombies in slime.

I'm still number one with Tiger won't amount to much, thinking back I once backed Shane Ryan for first goal scorer must have been under the influence for that one .

My father is a snooker fan and was a big Stephen Hendry Fan when a certain Ronnie O'Sullivan came on the scene he said he wont amount to anything and would never win a world title!!! He called that right...

I was assured and convinced that the Back Door system when introduced almost 20 years ago would work well to the benefit of weaker counties, unfortunately I was right, and it did, - - - - It kept us weak.!!

Given that Donegal supposedly are a team in transition, I thought Tyrone should have had a reasonable chance of beating Donegal by a point or two in a competitive encounter at the weekend. I was completely wrong. We were outclassed on the day.

Many love writing Mayo off as finished and gone for the next 10 years etc..while forgetting Mayo keep coming back one way or another.

Until about the age of 16 I always went to Ulster championship games believing Antrim were going to win.

We did only once in that whole time vs Down in 2000, what a day! Half time went on for about 40 minutes because of the driving hail stones.

The appointment of Pete McGrath as Fermanagh manager. Like the Down county board I thought he was yesterdays man...although I do like to remind my Down friends of that statement from their county board.

At the time I wasn't happy with the appointment of Pat Gilroy and gave the DCB a bit of stick for yet again appointing the wrong man

I used to go out with a girl years ago, she was a bit moody. When I asked her what was wrong she used to say nothing and I believed her, I was wrong.

After the League Final in 2011 I declared to everyone that Dublin were going nowhere. Did the same after a laboured win in the Leinster Final that year against Wexford.
