I'm intrigued as to whether Jack Guiney proves the ability he no doubt has, or whether we get more of the same from him.

Some of the Clare boys will surely shine again this year, thinking of the likes of McGrath, Collins, Conlan etc. I've excluded Kelly cos he is already shining.

Tipp - Bubbles could take charge of a season yet.

Kilkenny - Maher and Aylward were unlucky with injury last year so it will be Interesting to see what they will do this year.

Waterford- Pauric Mahony should get back to 2015 levels this year after that horrific injury.

Galway - I'd like to see more of Flynn in 2017.

Players I will watch out for with interest:

Seadna Morey Clare - where has he gone?
John Meagher Tipp - will he finally make an impact? Cursed with injuries.
Kilkenny - As mentioned above Maher and Aylward the obvious choices. Ps where did Richie Doyle ever go? Also, Paddy Hogan/John Dalton?
Galway - Interesting year for them. Good to see Martin Dolphin playing for them against the colleges. Best centre back in Galway club hurling
Wexford - Conor McDonald. Wasn't as impressed with him last year as others
Dublin - Mark Schutte (See Conor McDonald comment!)
Cork - Christopher Joyce - Should tighten up the defence. Class act
Waterford - Conor Gleeson - looks like he has the makings of a really top player. Also, Stephen Bennett seems to be over his injury problems
Limerick - Kevin Downes - been majorly disappointing in recent years and has been brought on everywhere.

Your point about Downes being brought on everywhere is exactly the problem. He needs to be left alone in one spot. He burst onto the scene in 2011 at full forward and has hardly played there since. In teh space of one match last year he played in 3 positions in the forwards.

Seamie Callanan, I don't believe the Hurler of the Year panel have seen him play yet.

Tipp : Looking forward to seeing Tom Fox get a run, should be able to provide cover in a number of defense positions.I agree on above re. John Meagher. Will also take a chance on Stephen O'Brien, struggled initially but improved throughout the year and by all accounts was very near the 26 for the AI Final. With Bonnar gone for league he should get a good chance.

KK : That James Maher looked handy before his injury last year.

Galway : Not new players but Whelan and Mannion could really step up this year.

Limerick : Always produced good half-backs and Diarmuid Byrnes should be another, could have a big year.

Cork : Shane Kingston, his father is manager so he should start!! But was a serious minor 2 years ago before injury, should get gametime as they have to try 5-6 players.
