Ciaran, you left out Kildare V Longford who are playing in Newbridge at 2pm on Saturday in the O'Byrne Cup.

It's madness having a bet on these matches. We won't know what kind of team lines out until throw-in. These games are used as trials these days. Cavan_Slasher (Cavan) - Posts: 10253 - 04/01/2017 19:49:35 1943113 Link 1 |
Very true Cavan_Slasher, that basically what they are. Many players will be gone from panels once the league begins.

it's good to see the Dr McKenna Cup back and certainly Tyrone the holders face a tricky start. Byanthon (Tyrone) - Posts: 1780 - 05/01/2017 14:30:32 1943245 Link 0 |
I wouldn't bet a bag of magic beans on any of these games. Lockjaw (Donegal) - Posts: 9073 - 05/01/2017 15:24:46 1943269 Link 0 |
agree totally.only way to have a bet on any of the above games would be if you had inside info re team selections, seriousness of interest etc.for instance kerry are using it as preparation for the forthcoming u21 championship and using the entire u21 panel..thats well known but other stuff might not be..im sure the major bookies will have their research done before pricing up games.. kavvie (Clare) - Posts: 504 - 05/01/2017 15:50:44 1943277 Link 0 |
NUIG to beat Mayo 2/1 ciaran1988 (Antrim) - Posts: 86 - 06/01/2017 12:16:15 1943480 Link 0 |
Taking off my green glasses, id still have a nice bet on Meath to easily beat Wicklow in navan, new manager, 6 players starting who weren't involved last year, trying to make a claim for league. I think this will be a victory for Meath royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 06/01/2017 21:46:26 1943618 Link 0 |
Good man Royaldunne... is not everyone who will give tips like you have. Have a good rattle at 1/20 on. Awwwwnow (Cavan) - Posts: 1050 - 06/01/2017 23:07:53 1943645 Link 2 |

whats the handicap? 10 or so points I presume dodgy betting handicaps this time of year but I hear meath have been in heavy training 2 months or so going hard for promotion so they should be flying at the moment. OhtobeARossie (Roscommon) - Posts: 1755 - 07/01/2017 11:57:27 1943699 Link 0 |
Yeah they been hard at for 2 months, still some places up for grabs, that's why keoghan and Reilly playing (even though reilly in all ire semi in couple weeks) so the new lads can get a idea of what ball to expect etc. See how they working , nucleus of team is there, about 6 places up for grabs, 50+ players tried out so far, plus the u21s to com in, no one can say Andy hasn't given everyone a chance to prove themselves. That's why I think they will cover handicap, however at ht the team could change completely so like any bet its a risk.

Good shout. The odds flipped on the teams very quickly on Friday but I took your advice and stuck it in a double with Carlow at 11/10 to beat Maynooth. What's best for tonight or the weekend? gaelicgab (USA) - Posts: 878 - 11/01/2017 15:17:28 1944876 Link 0 |
I fancy Offaly to beat Longford at 5/6. Dodgy really this time of the year with last minute changes to teams etc.
