Well let's hope for a good game & respect for the players. I am sure there will be many families there, so less of the soccer fandom approach would be appreciated. Weather looking good, so enjoy all!

Well said and I hope the Dublin soccer fans on here either have manners or stay away in the future.

cant understand the bickering on here over stupid things, i was in the hill for the last couple of hurling finals and the behaviour of the fans was unreal, as in the how drunk they were, people arguing over trying to get to the bar and losing their place this while the game was on. ive been in the hill for dublin games and yes it is overcrowded but the majority of the fans are a pleasure to have the crack with, yes you will always get the odd few hell bent on causing trouble because they are drunk but you cant tar everyone with the same brush, personally id have great time for the dubs on the hill compared to other fans who are so full up they dont even know they are in croke park never mind watching a game and i am not a dub

Not a newbie. Been attending Gaelic games since I learned to walk, which is quite a while ago, and was taught respect for players & officials.
So does this forum, like Hill 16, belong to the Dublin supporters also?

Thanks small, medium enterprise. A great contribution

I was hoping to see Paddy Small a little bit more so fingers crossed he'll get his start but sure it's only a matter of time for Paddy. A top prospect and already showing glimpses of what he's capable of at this level."
Same here, I was hoping to have seen more of Paddy by now , hopefully on Sunday. Basquel too, he reminds me of a young Bernard Brogan. I think in the next two years he'll be one of the best corner forwards in the game.

I really wish I was a new fan. I have probably seen more games in croke park than you are likely to. Just because we are on here doesn't mean we are young and to old to use technology.

I think you're spot on regarding Basquel

He's a class finisher and has great positioning. Hoovers up ball in there and has the skill to finish off both sides, nice but of pace to him.

In respect to comparing him to BB. Yep 100% although perhaps Basquel is even that bit further ahead of BB at the same age and with time could get up to those sort of heights further down the road.

Happy to see P Small and Costello being named but disappointed to not be able to watch Paddy's first start. Hope he grabs the opportunity with both hands.

The perspex was put up as a direct response to the attack on the referee after the 2010 Leinster final between Meath and Louth. The attacker came from the stands not the terrace so go figure. Nice try though.

Jays how did the GAA make a big mistake like that?
I doubt that the explanation for the Perspex in front of the hill though as when Mayo mick came on to the pitch in limerick in 2014 to confront cormac Reilly they didn't put any Perspex up around the Gaelic grounds.

Are the Gaelic Grounds our national stadium? Ask Christy Cooney why?
