Will the gooch retire? Good time to go? Owes Kerry nothing.

The greatest forward I've ever seen delighted to see him win the club final but his legs are gone and he's a shadow of the player he once was its time to move aside and let the kids do their thing.

Was a magnificent player. A joy to watch. Never the same player after that knee injury and I agree - his legs are gone.
But what a brilliant football brain.
Won it all now...
Will be a great forwards coach for kerry

Beautiful player of both sides so easy on the eye...always remember '11 final Kerry were on top Ball kicked into Gooch on the cusack stand side Philly came Cooper went with his left Philly bought it Gooch dummy solo turned onto his right and split the post from 35 yards...once in a generation player.

Gooch coochy coo, who loves ya baby, has done it all with panache and now should definitely finish on the up instead of instead of slowly disappearing into the background. It's better to burn out than fade away!

One of the best I've seen.

I think it's time now though, he deserves to be remembered better then he can produce these days.

Go on ya young thing ya :-)
ah gooch should retire now at the top while he can , although the chance of captaining our county one more time might sway him.

I agree he should retire. Would be fine in Munster but not anywhere past the 1/4 finals.
Connolly the modern type of gooch in that he has physical attributes as well as the balance and skill.
Con o Callaghan could take the baton from Connolly in 2-3 years,
