Never mentioned October! I meant at the very least I see them reaching the All Ireland Final! Smart *ss! :)

Yeah, they look extremely fit for this stage of the year. It will be interesting to see how the game against Tipp pans out. You'd imagine that KK will bring fury and intensity to Wexford park in June. Killarney.87 (Tipperary) - Posts: 2513 - 04/04/2017 13:56:30 1975422 Link 0 |
The media are half heartedly doing a bit to hype up the Tipp Wexford game but I feel both matches aren't really being talked about with the exception maybe of Wexford supporters. tiobraid (Tipperary) - Posts: 4119 - 13/04/2017 13:32:21 1979078 Link 0 |
I would predict Tipp by 10 and Galway by 5 and a draw in the final.

Galway by 2, think they have more natural hurlers than us and are probably in the same bracket as Tipp but expect Limerick to put in a big performance, Tipp by 6+, would be very surprised if Wexford got much closer than that.

tipp by 6 or 7 points Limerick by 2 points tiobraidArann (Tipperary) - Posts: 362 - 15/04/2017 18:18:09 1979645 Link 0 |
Tipp by far the most impressive team of the 4 today. Limerick the least by a long way unfortunately. Galway will need to improve by a good 50% to get close to Tipp next week but they have the potential to get to that level.

Does this work better - NHL SFs are - 1st v 4th or 7th and 2nd v 3rd or 8th and 5th 6th down, with 7th 8th up. omahant (USA) - Posts: 2535 - 18/04/2017 04:07:08 1980301 Link 0 |
Top 4 in 1A, top 2 in 1B. Top 2 in 1A into semi, 3/4 play 1/2 in 1B. Pinkie (Wexford) - Posts: 4100 - 18/04/2017 14:41:33 1980464 Link 0 |
This is mostly what I have - except 2 up/down - do you go for that too ? For me it makes sense - the 6 in this year's KO are those in Div 1A in the following year.

Yep 2 up 2 down as well for me. I proposed it in another thread before!

Relegating 1/3 of teams in a league is excessive.

Agree - but more than offset by the logic that 6 of the top 8 go to KO and the other two are down

Relegating 2 out of 8 wouldn't be as bad as 2 out of 6, that's for sure. The likes of Limerick would benefit as they can't seem to top division 1b but you'd expect them to finish second.

I see abolutely no reason to change the structures. Even 4th in 1B this year got to play Galway, Limerick, Wexford and Tipperary. Leave it as is. LohansRedHelmet (Clare) - Posts: 2432 - 20/04/2017 02:30:41 1980996 Link 0 |
