Disrespectful attitude to referees and winning teams

how am I supposed to do that? I can only speak for myself. I hope by insults you're not referring to people shortening your name for handiness? you dont appear to have very thick skin for a man claiming to be a referee.
And no they are not as clear as the reply button, they are an absolute mess. If i wish to reply to you it must include 3 or 4 other posters writing as well as mine and it creates confusion as well as repeating so many unnecessary bits of writing. Its not even convenient for you, why bother?

It is insulting to shorten my name to a format that disrespects where I'm from, who I am., I understand ormondbannerman should be shortened but its what its shortened to that is offensive.
Ormond isn't offensive ormo is,
Deja vu here considering ive explained why ormo is offensive to me yet trolls here continue to abuse me with name calling.
My posts are clearly differentiated from other peoples posts so how is it a mess. It actually is convenient for me and much more convenient than the way the post reply is set up on this forum compared to virtually every other forum in the world

You haven't explained anything. Is the term Ormo derogatory in some way? If not then I think you're being extremely childish. People shorten the name of where they're from all the time and it is in no way insulting to do so. But its ok for you to call people trolls I suppose?

Why would you need differentiate from other posters, your name at the top of each post you write is a bit of a give away is it not? I've just explained why it looks a mess and how it is inconvenient. Its clear you don't show much respect for other posters yet you demand respect of the highest order from them at the same time.

I have explained why its offensive countless times. Ormond is where I'm from in Tipp, it represents my club,
I differentiate my posts from others so that they can read it. I think emboldening works better than the way people quote posts. Now if the forum was set up like other forums and you could use tapatalk on the mobile or if it was v bulliton on desktop.

Replying To catch22:  "Something that is regularly trotted out by Supporters and often the argument for a loss, is that referees are the cause of this because they are giving the winners preferential treatment I remember hearing this being leveled at Kilkenny when they were in their pomp and it always smacked of the bad looser maintality. Dublin seem to be getting the fingers pointed in their direction also now but apart from insulting to these two great sides it is utterly disrespectful to the men who put so much effort into our games and are doing their best under trying circumstances. Yes, they make mistakes but there is often the underlying suggestion that it is deliberate favouritism which is grossly unfair I feel. God knows I will shout and roar at the men in black as much as the next lad but I don't think they are corrupted as is being suggested in some quartets."
Have seen certain referees cause problems for themselves with their own aggressive attitude.

Referees either have a certain presence and rapport with players or they don't.

Plus, this thing of "macho" referees in hurling "letting the game flow" and awarding no frees invariably,in my view, ends up in a free for all when players inevitably take the law into their own hands.

Thank God we have someone back on topic.
Yeah, look , there are referees out there and probably plenty of them that are not the best examples of how to deal with players and they need to be trained better in how to interact when trying to maintain control and be respected. That sort of attitude will only end up with players loosing all confidence in your ability and manner of dealing with a situation. However , that is something for a referees review individual to point out rather than a media head looking for a scoop.

how old are you to be getting offended over nothing? a referee?? yeah whatever you say.

trust me, the reply button is far clearer than your method. it tells you who your replying to and doesnt include 5 other posters responses along with your own. that's not even up for debate given that your the only person on here who uses it that way.

so there is no actual village/townland/parish or GAA club called Ormond. It is a BARONY.

There's no doubt about it, if you get a loud and agressive referee it gives off the wrong message and I think the players will have less respect for that kind of attitude.
You could and up in the boot of a car if you weren't careful.

Just to make an observation I found funny.

One referee who was on a show on Setanta once said he respected every player equally and by using there name showed this respect. Most inter county referees do, and I know of some who would talk to players and explain decisions but this guy was then seen in the very next Scene running after one player who said, "What's wrong with you, why you going against us" - He screams Oi, you, OI NUMBER 5.

Funny the respect he showed there.

Overall I think referees are human and they will be swayed, I also know of one former inter-county referee who told me that he was swayed by a selector roaring at him, he gave more and more against this team and spoke to him at half time and explained what he was doing. The Selector obviously extremely annoyed by this said that's cheating. Our man in black said, "they were all fouls in my eyes" and "my eyes are the ones that matter". The Selector apologised before the 2nd half started and his team ran out easy winners with an impartial ref.
