I know things are constantly evolving and fashions come and go , but I just can't imagine, say Michael Fennelly, barging his way through the Tipp midfield with a pink hurley in his hand.

Pink hurleys are popular at underage level with the girls.

True hard to see a lad with a pink Cultec or a green or blue one but they are the business

The colour is optional. Cultec hurls are fantastic.... I think more lads should try them before making a judgement.

I've used one for puck outs, definitely feel it adds distance

Not to mention the vibration that went up your arm when you clashed .No give in the thing.

No, nothing lacking in imagination, it's just black and amber clashes terribly with pink. Now the maroon of Galway would compliment the pink hurleys perfectly and also maybe the red of Cork.

Yeah I can see where you're coming from there. Personally I think the best county kit to co-ordinate them with would be Sligo. That'd actually look pretty cool.

As a youngster I made a hurley out of a piece of a 6 inch by 2 inch piece of timber, the thing was very heavy but I got used to it, by the time I bought my first proper hurley the weight of it was like holding a lollipop, 1 advantage of the self made hurley was nobody would come near you in a game, they were afraid of getting killed with the yolk

Let's hope you never take up interior decorating with that sense of colour coordination.
