Does GAA get fair coverage compared to soccer and rugby

Great to read that TG4 will be broadcasting all provincial u21 football finals live on their website. I hope they don't go broke from outbidding RTE for the rights to show these games...

Our great games are preventing the rugby crowd to match New Zealand. Nothing new really in that.

I heard that last night. He's right though and it'll never happen. Us giving up Gaelic Football team I mean. Surprised to hear such defeatism from a legend like O'Driscoll though. Basically he's saying Ireland will never be good enough to win a World Cup. Even if he believes it and it is true he shouldn't say it. A team that doesn't believe it can be number one should stay at home.

If you hear/read the full interview/article I don't think O'Driscoll was actually bitching.

Agreed. If anything he was complimenting Gaelic Football and our love for it. Don't think he was bitching about the rugby team either. Just telling it as he sees it. But I don't think he should have said they'll never be number one. For me it'd be like Willie Joe saying that Mayo will never win Sam. Even if he believes it he shouldn't say it in public.

You can be sure Brian O'Driscoll believes Ireland can be no. 1. Any comments he makes about the GAA have to be mindful of the 2023 World Cup bid and the need to secure the full cooperation of the GAA. Diplomacy requires that.
