Delaneys in Kilkenny. Home of the former county gaelic football secretary, a shrine to Kilkenny hurling, and the altar where pints are drunk when the Village win. And its across the road and down a bit from Star hurleys; 200 yards from the scholl Brian Cody teaches in, and down the road from the finest chip shop in Ireland, Larkins. But don't ask for a bloody mary. You will be asked is that some sort of alcopop and offered a apple mickey finn instead. Even when you explain its tomato juice and vodka, they laugh at you. Tomato juice in a pub. I'm never bringing my girlfriend their again. One for me and my Dad.
