He could see the Tipp flags flying from his house.During John Power's career,the two great rivals only met in one senior All -Ireland Final which was a premier win in 1991.He injured his hand during that match.Kilkenny and John Power came back to win the All Ireland title in 1992 and 1993.

the unsung hero of kk in the 90s.dj would never have been the player he was without john power,he was some man to win and break ball.

An absolute beast of a man, the ultimate centre forward. He'd put his head where you wouldn't put a hurley then back farming strong Monday morning. I remember him hurting his hamstring in a game and was walking off the field (pre 4th official times) and the ball broke out to him, hi picked it up and drove it over the bar, and continued walking off the pitch. Legend.
