Replying To gatha:  "I can tell you one thing if the players were under contract these game wouldn't be played. No owner would allow a player the chance of getting hurt if they were paying them. Kildare and Armagh was a disgrace, putting players out in those conditions. Instead of the GPA taking hurling teams to New York to play some half assed game they should be out on weekends like these making sure players welfare are being taken care of"
Nonsense trying to equate these issues

Isn't the GPA an association for the welfare of the players? If they are, they should be concerned about their players playing in conditions like they did this weekend. Hopefully no one got seriously hurt in any of the games.

Are you saying there's a risk players could be hurt by the wind?

There is no correlation between weather a game gets called off based on a player being a pro or amateur as was insinuated or what pre season challenges/holidays in New York have to do with it

I think you need to read his post and rewrite your nonsensical reply.

My points are

1.Pro contracts make no difference to whether or not a game is called off as many pro games go ahead in storms and did this weekend.
2.The playing of games in New York in months ago does not stop the GPA from doing its job in Febuary
3.The GPA can not officially decide to call games off but could do it if all the players involved said no to the game but said players did not do that.

So what am I not getting about your points ?

Its not just the danger during the game. These are young lads and de facto inexperienced drivers. After the match they are bused back to a central point often taking hours. Then they have to drive home ,Not good enough when there is a warning not to travel. What .akes it worse is that they feelthat they dont have an option to opt out due to a storm

Loads of assumptions here age, driver ability, travel plans, players inner thoughts

But seeing as you are worried why not ask your TD to propose to the Dail when its back to pass a law to automatically ban all sports events during an orange weather warning

Whats with harassing this user with the accusation that they are me last month i was Fionn, then Joxer, then Jimbo, its really simple the admin has full permission to check ISP's. Are the Kerry boys game?

Lets be honest its pretty obvious who you lads multis are has been for months, yee are the most unliked users on the site yet have the most green thumbs, da kid, one off etc etc. Its really sad. Lads stopped responding to your posts and you had to create new usernames to be involved because, no one wanted to speak to you.

Then go around harassing new users, yiz are some articles.

Advancedmark apologies again, just ignore them everyone else pretty much does, hence all their different accounts. You better hope your not picked to referee and All Ireland final any time soon, they dont like anyone living in Dublin doing that. :D

Never change Kerry, never change.
