Not sure how you can draw that conclusion from one team pick after the AI runners-up have just picked a championship starting 15. He's hardly going to pick kids to play against that Kerry side in his first game in charge. Very young bench though so I'm sure that he'll gradually introduce the new lads. Proper way to do it.

Replying To Joxer:  "Emmett O'Conghaile on the bench. Good opportunity to give him some game time too. Bench is light enough in general though, O'Byrne Cup looking."
Always had time for Emmet, at one stage he was looking ahead of Fenton before getting broke up in a league game then just never happened for him.

Dessie obviously on the look out for midfielder, Gavin and POCB are Sigerson I think.

If I'm being honest, Shane Carthy has impressed me of late wouldn't be surprised if he's looked at some stage

Haven't seen the bench mind, I'm enroute to Drumcondra for a couple of scoops.

Enjoy the game gents.

Jacks are back.

Blast from the past EOC. Be interested to see the bench, suppose it will be influenced by so many lads making the Sigerson, so take tonight on its own merits.

Wonder is Aron Byrne involved heard he was knocking round the panel during the week!

Ref is ruining this match.

Dublin Kerry and referee doing their best to imitate the rubbish we saw in the Club Final last Sunday. Another shambles of a half of football after a decent first 35. To be fair to the ref, its nearly unreffable.

Ref made a pig of that game .Brilliant delighted with dubs missed a couple of great goal chances which they would normally take. Hurson was rubbish played for the draw.

Draw a fair result to be fair. A very feisty affair on a cold January night to kick things off.

Kerry keeper lost that match for them. 3points up goes long with a kick out....Dublin win possession....Dublin point....2points up Keeper kicks out straight to a Dublin players around the 45.....point Dublin. Keeper kicks to the wing and Dublin win it again.....Dublin point. On the three occasions he had a option of going short to his right. I mean they had the extra man too. Good shot stopper but needs composure on kick outs.

Thought the referee did an excellent job. Reffed it perfectly according to the rule book. The added time was warranted due to delays in the additional period, he was spot on with his cards and got most his calls right. Anyone disputing that needs to read the rule book.

I totally agree, second half was a complete shambles very difficult to ref that game.

We still struggle to get over that line with the Dubs. Probably should have seen it out, but a draw a fair enough result. The ref did seem to enjoy his camera time tonight.

The ref did a fine job, The first half had some great scores but lacked intensity. When the intensity came in the second half the ref had to deal with it and handled it well imo.

A good game for this time of the year. Ref had a tough job but did a reasonable job although, no doubt, both sets of fans will quibble with various decisions. Dublin keeper was very impressive with his kick-outs. Fenton was the dominant figure in the first half but was less evident in the second half and could have been punished on a couple of occasions for shoulder charging while in the possession of the ball. Mannion was well off his game when he came on but one of their forward subs (don't know his name) looked very promising.
Kerry need Moran's phsical strength at midfield. Clifford is a joy to watch but needs to get more protection from refs particularly during the League.

all the ref did was apply the rules. you cant blame him for that. It's the players who need to take responsibility for their actions. I couldn't see many contentious decisions bar the yellow for Philly McMahon but that was probably on the word of the umpires and he was lucky to get away without a booking later on.

You can't make a sweeping statement like that without backing it up. List out the wrong calls would you? I watched the second half and saw little to complain about.

Agree with that; lot of traditionalists lamenting that refs aren't "letting things go". Once a ref starts that crack, he's then in a no-win situation as he's then trying to decide which fouls he should ignore and which he should blow for.

Dublin would have won had they not made the last minute substitute. Ref then had to play 30 secs
