Replying To ConnollyDub:  "He hasn't picked a single dub in his whole team selection. Gk, defenders, midfielders or forwards. I mean this from a team that won 7 all Irelands form a possible 10 on offer. No team has ever achieved that. Yet he doesn't think they deserve even one player on the team...laughable

And the thing is i don't even think he is a WUM. He's just a bitter, jealous old man"
Thanks for pointing that out.... he didn't choose a single Dublin player in the whole 15 from this decade.... wow
He clearly doesnt know anything about football....

10 Diarmuid Connolly

12 Ciaran Kilkenny
13 Conor McManus
14 Michael Murphy
15 Kevin McManamon (For the all the games he came on and turned things round or closed out for Dublin)

Definitely the hardest line to choose from have to give special mentions to the Brogan brothers, Dean Rock, Andy Moran, Kieran Donaghy and Colm Cooper.

I didn't think I'd find a line up to agree with so quickly!!! I think that's fairly spot on!!!

Best inside forward this decade imo.

Himself and Michael Murphy the complete nailed on players up top imo.

Everyone else there's at least a debate over but for me it's those 2 plus 4 others.

I'd put my 6 against your 6 any day kid and my 6 would win imo .

Based solely on All-Star awards the following 6 attackers are ahead of all others with either 3 or 4 awards:
Bernard Brogan
Michael Murphy
Paul Flynn
Ciaran Kilkenny
Conor McManus
Paul Mannion

(Aidan O Shea has 3 All-Stars but only 1 was awarded as a forward).

Its hardly fair to say that at all. I can only assume that when you say 'needed most' you are referring to the crunch games mayo have played over the years which is their AI finals and semis mainly. I wouldn't say its fair to solely say O'Shea disappointed when needed most, it was more like a Mayo team, who by the way were a fantastic team worthy of an AI, that didn't quite have the know how to get over the line and dictate a close game in the dying stages. To pick out 1 or 2 of Mayos 'bigger players' as the fault for this wouldnt be completely correct.

in all fairness now big O'Shea was and is a superb footballer, I wouldnt have much to argue with anyone that did have him in.

that being said I probably wouldnt be changing my front 6 to accommodate him but I could possibly have him at Midfield. But to say he is "nowhere near the great players mentioned" above is very foolish. What a player and servant he has been for Mayo. Definitely deserves some recognition.
