Mine was the 1990 league semi final between Meath and Cork. Meath won that day but Cork got revenge in the All Ireland final later in the year.

Just under 3 months old and my mother God rest her soul used to delight in telling the story about how i slept through the entire game without opening my eyes until Cork were lifting the cup echoing the cries of Wexford people all around me by all accounts!!

Amazingly it was 1982 All-Ireland football final. I was situated near the old Nally Stand that afternoon in the misty rainy day it was. Only seems like yesterday tbh.

2012 replay between Kilkenny and Galway when Kilkenny won. Not the best first experience, but I would have been more disappointed if I attended the drawn match as Galway really throw that match away, even allowing for Shefflin's heroics.

Early 70s. Been lifted over the stiles by my last dad to watch Meath play dubs, it would be 86 as a teenager that I actually saw them beat them also with my late dad. So glad I brought him that day.

1977. Dublin v Kerry All Ireland semi final. Was 9 and still living in England. Home for summer holidays. Didn't have a clue what was going on. Dad bought me a Kerry scarf because I liked the colours. Apparently we net Micheal O'Hehir during minor game but I don't remember it. He autographed my programme which I still have. The page where the teams were listed was upside down. The game was lauded as the greatest ever. I saw it on TnaG a few years ago, pure muck! Hard to believe this but it's true, the linesmen were from Dublin!

At least you've witnessed your county lift Sam mate.

Limerick v Clare in 2007 quarters . Not a great game from a neutral point of view but Limerick played well and were far too good for Clare. Luckily that day also had a cracker of a draw between Cork and Waterford

1973 AI, which Limerick thankfully won! Was with a crowd of adults that day and can't remember much about it actually, just the joy and happiness of everyone, as I was very young.

The first time I went on my own, as a teenager, was in 1982, which thankfully Offaly won. I remember that one as clear as daylight, as I happened to end up in the Offaly dressingroom that day, and met the late Eugene McGee (RIP) and loads of the Offaly players. I never really realized at the time back then, that the occasion was as momentous as it has since become.

Times were different then, and it was a lot easier to get into CP, and to get around the place!

More proof that this Dublin team were the greatest GAA of all time but some of their supporters are more paranoid than a supermodels husband!
