The Future Of Armagh Football

(Oldest Posts First)

I think Armagh will challenge strongly for Anglo Celt Cup in the next few years and who knows maybe the Sam Maguire? They haven't won much at minor or u21 lately but I think they have the best up and coming talent in the province. As Charlie Vernon says on hogan stand yesterday, Cian McConville, Oisin O'Neill and Rian O'Neill are the future of Armagh football. Young Jarlath Burns is another player with a big future. If they can build the team around these youngsters and blend in with the older lads like Forker, Donaghy and Clarke they will be a hard team to beat.

Well Jaysus they'd want to do something soon because the McGeeney 'Transition' has been going on for long enough!!!

There has been so much said about how only Geezer is the right man for the job and the strides they've made over the last few years and pardon my ignorance from only looking on from outside the county but i don't see what all the hype about him is. Bar the game where they should have beaten Mayo, I don't recall an Armagh performance in Recent years that would suggest, the current management is getting the best out of these lads or that they are building to challenge again??

Obviously i would have no problem being wrong on this matter as it would be great to have more teams returning to the fold to challenge the 'Elite' teams on a more regular basis. Just wondering what the general consensus is?

Potential to be a very good team, but not under McGeeney.
