Kerry V Tyrone

Replying To The_Fridge:  "Heard the GAA said maybe 50,000.

Kerry generally don't travel so it could be tight getting that."
The upper decks aren't currently open so looks to be less than 50,000. 30-40,000 probably more realistic at this stage. Would be disappointing for a game of this magnitude and one that could well be highly entertaining.

Replying To avonali:  "I can distinctly remember a certain Kerry forward -now retired but working as a Sky pundit - going up to Philly MacMahon at half time in the 2016 Semi-Final as the teams were going off the pitch. Kerry had just scored two goals and were flying. He had his hand on Philly's shoulder and was whispering sweet nothings into his ear.

I remember looking on with great satisfaction as he lay prone on the pitch after the final whistle.
A certain Roy Keane line entered my head just then."
Maybe he was just thanking Philly for the lovely eye gauge a year previous. .

Hmmm...had forgotten that....but the pair of them were at each other for the whole match.

GAA haven't exactly assisted a big crowd by the 1 week turn around and then the queues for tickets.

On another point see Hoganstand predicting Tyrone which makes for a lot of pundits. Yet the bookies still predict Kerry. Looks like these pundits aren't putting on big bets.

My Kerry friends, you have little need to worry about the big bad boys from Tyrone. The last time we met you in a semi-final, you had someone looking out for you...

Now, remind me who the referee is on Sunday again....?

Replying To reithi:  "Anyway back to the game in hand which I suspect with the weather predicted won't be a great spectacle probably a scrappy one. Will be a great watch all the same for the intriguing battle it is. I can't wait though already a bit nervous.
No surprise to see Clifford back in I like the look of the team named but at this stage you can never believe it till its on the field! Any news on Tyrone line up"
Weather forecast for the Sunday is now pretty good..worst of the weather forecast for this evening. Think dry day is vital for Kerry...if it turns into a battle with lots of turnovers you'd have to fancy a physically stronger Tyrone.

Looking forward to our game with Tyrone tomorrow , I think even with the bad day it'll be a great game , this time last year we were sitting in our armchairs wishing we were in Dublin so I for one am going to enjoy it.
A
lot of talk about Tyrone on here but I haven't seen anything in the last few years to say this Tyrone team are dirty or cynical, our game is a contact sport and ya you'll have the odd tackle that'll be a bit over aggressive by all teams that can happen but let us all just enjoy the 3 games that or left in the championship season and we'll have plenty of time to dissect them over the winter months.

Safe travels to all.

I agree all teams have their cynical moments. With Tyrone it seems to be all of theirs are jumped on with 'typical Tyrone'. Tomorrow's game will be no dirtier or physical then today's. I do think if we can get our forwards on the end of enough smart balls we will win.

That's great news as we're very far down near the sideline so we'd be soaked.

Roll on tomorrow.

Is that because you don't agree with being pioneer or you dislike his never say die attitude as a manager and ability to overcome the most unimaginable suffering and loss someone could go through and still get up in the morning nevermind continue to manage a county team in face of cruel comments from media.

If you get over the fact your county is out for this year and will come back stronger next year, maybe you'll get in behind your ulster counterparts and wish the best of them, their fans and families.

You let yourself down with that comment but im sure your better than that.

Good luck I was down near the sideline for the final in 15 even with my plastic poncho purchased on the way in I was drowned!!

Think tomorrow has all the makings of a classic, two well matched teams both with good options from the bench. I think if Kerrys forwards get into a groove though they will be hard stopped.

On todays showing I would fear this might be the last truly competitive game we see this year though.

If this is a draw does it go to extra time or a replay?

The best thing that could happen Tyrone and Kerry tomorrow would be for the game to be a draw and for it go to a replay, it would really sharpen the winner and still leave a 2 week break to the final, it would keep minds and bodies sharp.
