Shane Lowry Uibh Faili Abu!

Probably not very GAA related but want to congratulate Shane Lowry on his amazing and well deserved win today. Offaly GAA are enduring a torrid time at the moment but thank you Shane for raising our spirits.

Well it is GAA related...wasn't it his dad that stopped the Kerry 5 in a row or am I mistaken? Anyway he's a big GAA fan and an Offaly supporter. Give him a hurl and he might turn around your fortunes!

Should have started his speech with "Tá an-áthas orm an claret jug a glacadh ar son foireann Úibh Fháille!"

Great achievement from a good GAA man.

Congratulations to Shane Lowry on a great display over the four days at Portrush. Gave us all a boost here in Offaly. Good sporting stock, his father Brendan, was on the 1982 team, along with his brothers Sean and Mick, to beat Kerry.

No it was the team his dad was on, not his dad.
