Replying To Oldtourman:  "Well the previous one was in 1914, twenty nine years earlier and I think the records show that it was not their sixth but fourth Connacht Title. Anyway Wexford won their 21st Leinster Title this year and they won their last one only 15 years ago."
Kinda going off thread a bit here

Probably 60/40 in favour of tipp on experience. That being said I belive it is within our capability to beat them with a big performance and a little luck.

I know that, but the idea that a team will find it very difficult to win an All Ireland, after a groups 'initial' provincial success is questionable and that is the point I was making.

Well you throw Cork in 99 also.

I fancy Wex as they seem to be getting better and better whereas Tipp seem to be going the opposite way . Last performance will surely bring out the lash by Sheedy in training. Will it be enough not sure. Think Davy will suffocate the Tipp centre.

The only points I'd make against Wex are;
Can they handle the playing gap.
Tipp are always their bogie team on the big stage.

Small point , a lot of talk has been about Lim/Tipp rnd 3 not a lot about Wex/KK rnd3(i dont see it but it would be funny as a few over the top munster supporters here would be put in their place)

Not sure about bogey team. Fairly even in the 50s/60s and since then our good teams havent bewn in the same periods as theirs. They disappeared in the 70s and we didnt do well as the 80s rolled into the 90s.

Think Wexford will win by 2-4 points, think Davy will have Wexford we'll set up to beat a limited but dangerous Tipperary team.

Question marks over this Tipp team man for man we have the skill the movement but not the tactics to beat teams who set up defensive and cut out supply. Nowadays to be a hurler you need to be an athlete as well. We don't have that type of player I.e. Limerick are the perfect model and maybe Galway fall into that bracket too but Wexford play a tight game and our midfield and half forwards will probably not get on enough ball and reliance on Callinan Forde and two McGraths is in overkill at this stage but they are the players whom if play well can win us the game.
It's a big ask but Wexfords tactics may win it for them they are sharp on the ball and physically tough in the tackle our lads are in for a tough afternoon.
Wexford by 3.

Looking at the 2 threads regarding the semi final all sets of fans seem pretty worried and cautious with alot calling wins for the opposition so I think it just shows how tight these 2 games are gonna be.
Added to that the bookies are keeping it tight.

All 4 possible pairings have great backstories but I really hope its an old school Munster v Leinster pairing. No points for guessing which Munster team I want in the final

I think tipp have the more potentially dangerous forwards but wexford's heart and grit could drive them over the line. It'd be great to see wexford back in an all Ireland final.

Reminds me of 2013 semifinal stage when it was wide open and Clare drove on to victory in the final.
Can Davy repeat the feat this year????

I'd love to see Davy win another All Ireland but I just can't see them beating Tipp. I think Tipp will win handy enough. 8-10 points.

Not a fan of Davey but I really fancy them to beat tipp,I don't rate Tipperary after seeing twice against Limerick.

I'll be shouting for Wexford, but if Tipp bring their A game or thereabouts to the match, they'll win.

Always? Two of Wexford's six All-Ireland wins have come against Tipp.

Limerick v Tipperary - Munster Final

No questions asked in this one .....Tipp to win without a doubt.

Kilkenny v Cork - Quarter-Final

Cork should win comfortably and I'm already looking forward to them winning their Semi Final too!!

I think we all should pop down the bookies and put some money on Wexford.
