Great justice is served and maybe the black card rule be looked at again

Still sitting on 2 black cards by all accounts, one more against Roscommon he misses Cork game, one against Cork he misses Dubs game, one against Dubs misses potential semi-final.

Awful rule, if we beat the Rossies, and are beating Cork there is a good chance ( if he hasn't got one already in either match ) I wonder might he just happen to get one in the last few minutes.

Great stuff, I'm delighted for him, those black cards should never have been given.

Right decision for me , the only one I thought was a black card was the last one against Cavan. The other two were never for me. So we're all 3 black cards overturned or how does it work out?

He'll probably try and the way referees are doing things these days, he'll get a yellow!

Forget it I seen he's one overturned the other 2 stand.

Only need to have 1 overturned, so he still has 2 to his name. Can only appeal any of them after receiving 3! Correct decision though, looking forward to tomorrow evening!

These cards are mostly overturned on appeal. Noel O' Leary was cleared to play in an All Ireland final, even after he landed an uppercut to Graham Geraghty's jaw.

A small measure of the right thing being done. He should never have been put in such a place initially and it still leaves him in a precarious situation going forward with still 2 black cards to his name. Have to be glad he's cleared to play though.

I believe they are going further in the appeal for the other 2 now

Good to see him play tomorrow. He is not a dirty player but is careless to get 2other cards. The rules are poor around what constitutes a black card. There are more serious crimes in football that just get yellow.

Say Tyrone beat Roscommon and are 8 points up against Cork with 5 mins to go.....meaning they are though and play Dublin in a dead rubber.....should Harte take a black card, miss the dead rubber against Dublin, leaving him free to play semi?

I know it's hypothetical but what would you do?

Good question but with the poor standard of reffing we have he'd have to be careful they don't give him a red.

It's the refs interpretation of a black card that's causing all the problems. What should be a black some give a yellow. And visa versa .

So wrong decisions by the ref that in some cases effect the result of the game stand, but cards given on the day can be appealed and in a lot of cases the result of the appeal depends on what county you play for and how much pull your county have in Croke park. Sound just about right. We have a 2 tier system already in case ye did not notice.

He could be done for bringing the game into disrepute which is a min 8 weeks but that would be new territory for the GAA. You may recall Sergio Ramos doing something similar under Mourinho at Real Madrid in the CL a few years ago. He got a two game suspension as far as I recall. Less appeals in UEFA than the GAA though!
