Scoring Records

I see some Mayo fans saying it would be sweet for Cillian O Connor to break the Goochs scoring record in Killarney. There is no comparison between the players. Most of the Mayo man's scores come from free kicks and with Mayo in the qualifiers so much he has ample opportunities to score

Lies. Damned Lies and Statistics

Gooch is one of the greatest players to ever play the game

Your number of games argument makes no sense, as Cillian has played far fewer games than Gooch did. His average per game is much higher.
However, I agree with the other points. O'Connor has been the free taker for Mayo since he debuted.
Bryan Sheehan was the main dead ball kicker for much of Cooper's career. Gooch also put up big scores from play in semi finals and finals.
