Happy Friday to yourself as well, the last line should read 'after all the finals Mayo 'lost' not 'list' to list them all would be too tedious and could be seen as rubbing salt in old wounds.

we all know about the Mayo fans too, so you Mayo posters needn't be coming on here trying to whitewash over it by saying every county has some idiot fans, that is true to an extent, but the Mayo fans are in another league of arrogance, still I suppose it must be hateful to have list so many finals though..."
Some are arrogant but we've nothing to be arrogant about. If we ever did win Sam we'd still have nothing to be arrogant about. Arrogance and bullying your opponent is for the players on the pitch and shake your opponent's hand when the game is over, win, lose or draw. Thankfully the games are on pitches and not on social media played by 'could have been a contender, sure the U12 coach didn't like me' keyboard warriors. Almost none of them on Hoganstand but plenty on Facebook and Twitter and they're best ignored.

The donegal boys are fairly piping up on this thread you would swear they are playing mayo by the sounds of things ,did have to laugh tho with some of the bashing of mayo fans ya i have seen some absolute clowns of mayo fans at games that shouldnt even be let out of the cow shed nevermind let into a football ground but I also seen the same from donegal fans in Sligo for the qualifier games in 2017 and basically any time we ever played them so stones and glasshouses you know the crack .
Why don't we stick to topic and look forward to a great occasion sat Eve a game that everyone is looking forward to no matter what county you are from ,a game that the championship is all about 2 big rivals who are going to fight tooth and nail to stay in the championship so leave the bitterness aside coz unfortunately bitterness and hatred has become a big thing in modern gaa

Really looking forward to a classic knockout game with our neighbours. As usual the banter will be great and may the best team (hopefully Mayo) win. My apologies for posting this on the Donegal.

Another lad who throws stones but can't accept at all that his own county can have the same issues. It's patethic.

Yeah it's definitely the fault of Mayo GAA and Mayo fans that the national media runs with stories about Mayo GAA that you don't like. On behalf of everyone in Mayo I apologise for what the national media writes and broadcasts about Mayo despite us having no control over it whatsoever.

Even if you had a fair point to make in your inane ramble (which you don't) you lost all claim to the moral highground with the very last bit of your post. Displaying the very same behaviour and nastiness that you are accusing Mayo fans of.

Worth a €1! The tension would be unbearable. It would be an amazing way to stay in the Championship but what an horrific way to go out!

you come from a county that have won 2 all ireland's in their history and didn't win their province till the 70s so your in no position to be speaking about Mayos record

Also quoting Brolly says something

What does Donegal being late to the table have to do with Mayo losing nine All-Ireland finals?

Ara lads. It's a struggle to find any comment on the game itself in this thread. Can we leave the Donegal vs Mayo supporter stuff where it is now?
That can be debated in a thread of its own, if it's so important.
I have a feeling we'll see a couple of dummy teams named, given the amount of injuries. I wouldn't blame the managers in this case. I hear quite a few are touch and go at this stage.

Never seen a game with so little hype, there isn't a word being said about it, a lot if people are not happy its outside Connacht so that may be the reason. Apart from radio ads you wouldn't even know there is a game on

True enough. Still haven't seen confirmation that it's been played in Limerick because Mayo refused the offer of a coin toss.

Both teams keeping the head-down. With all the injuries, half-injuries, and players in recovery, no-one can say for sure which teams will even tog out. Very interesting build-up, that's for sure. And then add in the fact that the game is on a fairly unfamiliar field, at least to Galway, and there's no telling what could happen.

Roll on Saturday!

Gaillimh go deo!

is it not 10 finals lost? be funny if it goes to penalties and COC drives the losing penalty wide!!
ok back to the match,it's going to be interesting and we'll get a good look at one of our opponents for the final game of our super 8 series in Salthill or Castlebar, with Mayo's form at home I think I'd rather play them at home, it will be a tough game against either, if we are still in contention by then of course.

Massive ask of Mayo given their injuries .
Half back-line and midfield stronghold is now depleted .

Mayo to pay for underestimating the Ross.
Galway by 4 -5 points .
