Its impossible to avoid Mayo GAA. You could be on Mars and you'd still hear about how Mayo haven't won an All-Ireland since 1951.

Does make the lads bowling maidens and hitting fours, Republicans?

Anyone for drinks in the pav after the innings?

You got all that from a poster rightly saying the GAA is a 32 county organisation? Remarkable stuff.

Check out the preamble and Chapter One of the GAA Official Guide, it will prove quite an eye-opener if you're not already aware of it.

Thankfully the booing and abuse Paul durcan got in castlebar was called out on midwest radio by Mayo fans.

Absolute disgrace in 2013 too.

Mayo couldn't handle 2012.

Lovely people away from a GAA pitch but serious chip on their shoulder."
What are you talking about, chip on the shoulder? It's you who seems to have a serious chip on the shoulder when it comes to Mayo fans.

I am under no illusions. There are plenty of people who go to Mayo games who are absolute idiots, let the county down and if we ever got to the holy grail and won the All Ireland would be rubbing it into the face of opposition fans in much the same way as a few Donegal fans did to myself in 2012. Unfortunately that's what can come with a big fanbase. Now perhaps you might climb down off that particularly high horse of yours and concede that there are and have been plenty within the Donegal who are will fit to act in a similar fashion. I do get a kick out of people slating supporters of other counties, oblivious to the same carry on of their own support

Not our fault there is a fascination with Mayo GAA..our games usually are cliff bangers too which probably helps the hype machine. Do you want us to give up football altogether?

Great reply.

What happened in 2012?

What abuse did yous get ?

Was it Jimmy's winning matches coming on and people dancing and singing it?

The jeering in 2013 was scandalous.

I've been to almost every ground in Ireland. Castlbar was most hostile imo, just ahead of a packed Omagh.

I see, you have a pop at others but don't like the mirror being turned on yourself. No it wasn't people dancing and singing to a song and if you want to dismiss and trivialise the experiences of others with Donegal fans while still trying to claim that your anecdoatal experiences with Mayo fans should be taken seriously, well that says more about you than me my good man.

Casltelbar is a hostile atmosphere. Do you go somewhere other than McHale Park because that is a cracker of a comment.

Are Mayo and Donegal playing this weekend?
Let's try to keep this one on topic. If Mayo win on Saturday, then they will be in the same group as Donegal, so you're welcome to let loose then.
There's hardly a fit midfielder between both panels, so it's very difficult to predict how this one will go.
Either way we need to play with much more aggression and bite than we did against Roscommon. Without hard work as a starting point, the style of play won't even matter. I am hopeful that we'll move the ball much more quickly in attack however.

They have been poor so far this year but thats a bit harsh

Galway have the players but you would wonder what KW is at.

Galway have savage forwards but they wont do much if they are wing back.

Was Comer much when he played for his club ? Did he play much?

DOC and Keegan are huge losses. I'd imagine Mayo will eventually come unstuck without these but galway are short too.

If galway are let play I'd fancy the tribes

I'm from neither county but have heard about Croke Park in 2013 countless times. From basically every Donegal GAA fan I know and a couple of neutrals. They'd be level headed sorts. Mayo GAA fans are a bit ott but never seemed to bad. They mustve got out of hand altogether that day

Really hard game to call. You would have to expect Galway will be better than the Roscommon game. They had a very poor second half. However they have some serious players especially Shane Walsh. Mayo have a lot of injuries but they always seem to dig deep and dig out a result. I am going for a Galway victory after extra time.

As I've previously stated, good people away from a match.

I agree every county has annoying fans. I just heard alot of really bad ones around this period.

Anyway time to move on as one poster said

J'm hoping for a Galway win, if for no other reason that to stop hearing constantly on every media source about Mayo this-Mayo that, no other county gets injuries like? they haven't won the All Ireland in almost 70 years for God's sake, Mayo the gift that keeps giving as Brolly the wise one I think said,
we all know about the Mayo fans too, so you Mayo posters needn't be coming on here trying to whitewash over it by saying every county has some idiot fans, that is true to an extent, but the Mayo fans are in another league of arrogance, still I suppose it must be hateful to have list so many finals though...
