Dublin-Mayo Joe.

An embarrassment to the GAA. He has single handedly determined results of games with his decisions.

One cannot tell what card he will produce.

1 yellow for a skirmish between 2 players. Moments later, 2 yellows for 2 players for a similar skirmish.

A player charges head first into a defender, he gets a free.

Yellows where there should be blacks. No yellows given when players deserve a second. He is ridiculous

2 bad goals conceded was costly - goalkeeper error and very sloppy from silke. Any side would struggle to overcome 6 - 8 point advantage against this mayo side. Forwards had a little bit of swagger about them all day but didn't convert enough to get back into it really!!

Holding on to backs and then going down as if he were shot when the back holds on to him. Gaa must want the Mayo following to keep the show on the road for them .
Galway have no one to blame but themselves with penalty miss and dire first half performance.
Expect Mayo to struggle against Kerry and Donegal in super 8s and bow out again.
Coen kicked some lovely scores mind, neither Galway back were able to stop him!"
Shocking display from ref. Mayo Joe.He was completely biased in favour of Mayo. Its good Galway are out as Walsh will have to go now.

Got this one wrong, fair play to Mayo .
They play a great brand of football which should produce a cracking game down in Killarney.

Ah here give us our Joe back! ;)

In all seriousness, neither side can complain about the ref, thought Mayo got the benefit in the first half and Galway the second. Some mad calls went both teams way, while each team Cavan feel aggrieved when those calls went against them.

A game of some great play and really naieve rush of the blood to the head stuff and naivety, both teams should know better at this stage. Though both were able to implement a bit of nous in the gamesmanship stakes. I've no problem with that myself, it's that type of rivalry so I wasn't to disappointed the ref was letting things go, no angels out there.

Didn't feel there was a lot in it, Mayo made the best of conversions when momentum was with them. The penalty miss was a turning point for Galway and swung momentum away from Mayo. Galway will rue the opening 10 if they had started the game alert the game was there's. Still felt if the had squeezed Mayo a bit more in the last quarter they could have won it.

Mayo seem to have improved their conversion rate, look to have a bit more depth and something they never had a variance is scorers. With a bit of momentum going into the S8 they won't fear anyone.

As for Galway I wouldn't be to gloomy, I think there is hidden depth of potential in that team and if KW goes and a new manager comes in, with a different philosophey I think Galway will be one of the top teams in Ireland for years to come, serious raw talent there.

No surprise with Joe. He's beena gainst Kildare for years. Even as a linesman he manages blatant wrong decisions.

Sure he's not the only one. Yellow in Cavan v Tyrone game today where it was a blatant black. It's a conspiracy I think.

Shocking that Cillian O Connor did not get a second Yellow
Master of the dark arts
Referee was poor and favored Mayo in my opinion

Fair play mayo ,we battled hard in second half but was not to be ,the only good thing is KW will finally be gone and I want Stephen rochford in charge next year ,I think he has been waiting for the job since he left mayo

Ref jokes asides, Mayo were decent in stages today, they have goal of the season wrapped up, that's for sure. They'll see themselves as at least an equal going into that group with Kerry and Donegal. Could be a few cracking games there. And if Cork and Tyrone can prove that it wasn't just poor opposition that got them through we'll have fireworks in ours too.
It's showtime!

not a bad shout given it was a Mayo-man that led them to Sam before.
Galway dont seem to generate good managers from within.
