The British did not have to sign a treaty at Aughrim. They just walked all over the locals.

I presume you are referring to the treaty of Limerick Katser signed in 1691 to end the siege of Limerick during the Williamite war? You might elaborate on the context in which this is relevant between Limerick and Tpperary in the Munster hurling championship as otherwise you might look silly?

Fenianfullback. Save yourself trouble. She's a WUM, not a very clever one but one all the same.
You'll be waiting a long time for an intelligent response.

How many times has a Munster final between Tipp and Limerick been played in Limerick?"
Look it up"
I did. The last Munster final between Tipp and Limerick, to be played in Limerick, was a replay in 1996. The only other final was in 1922 (again a replay). So your so called "funny fact" is meaningless."]It wasn't meant to have meaning it's a fact."]Well here's another "funny fact": Kilkenny have never beating Dublin in a Leinster Football final."]Good for them I think it's time you got a new hobby buddy.
Just because I state a fact in my post means it will have a bearing of the game.

At least Limerick can put that fact to bed on Sunday but don't think yours will lose its status for a few hundred years at least!!!"]Wildpundit
There is a hare in the pack. I have tried in vain to establish where the 1911 Munster Final,in which LK beat Tipp, was played. However I am nearly sure I read somewhere long years ago that it was indeed played in the old Markets Fields. Until proven otherwise that would suggest that we have indeed beaten Tipp at in a final in Limerick, even if it was in days of yore."]Ah 1911. No All Ireland final. Til 1912! And Limerick didnt play in it in the end even though they were munster champs! Still couldnt find any reference to where the Munster final was played that year though!

Ah yes Oldtourman but at least Wexford rose up and stayed fighting to the bitter end in 1798. Didnt hear much about the Galway support for the Rebellion that time they mustve been fighting some sort of undercover war against the Brits with a media ban in place?

Terms of the deal should read.... Surrender to Tipp, swear alligenice that Tipp shall always be far superior to you and give them the Munster Title and in return you can have a 4th bite at the apple or fly to the" big apple " and apply your trade elsewhere!

The 1996 Munster Final in Limerick was a draw, Tipperary 1-16 Limerick 0-19.

The replay was a week later in Cork. Limerick 4-7 Tipperary 0-16.

After the pathetic attempts your county made at 'biting' this year, perhaps you should just snap out of your sense of grievance following last years final loss.

Any surprises expected in either team? I think both teams will probably go as expected with 14 of Limericks all ireland team playing. Will Peter Casey retain his place is probably the biggest question but I'm guessing he will as no one else has put their hand up higher yet....
For Tipp McCormack is likely to come in for Bonner but O'Meara may also get the nod. 2 of Barrett, Flynn or O'Brien probably starts at corner back.

We've seen huge scores and performances from midfielders this year and there will be some battle there this Sunday. You have last years hurler of the year who has pretty much retained his form possibly up against Noel McGrath who for me is without doubt this years player of the year so far so that should be some battle. Will be interesting also to see how the Tipp forwards go with Hannon back for Limerick. Limerick have arguably the best back 6 of recent years, so the dominance of the Tipp half back line and midfield in getting good ball in will be vital. We don't have two corner backs capable of holding both Mulcahy and Gillane if they play 13 and 15 so again our half back line is vital in protecting that area.

Serious sour grapes going on with you Kaster. I know we took Liam off you last August but Its not our fault you were dumped out of the Championship this year.

Donagh Maher being named on the bench might mean that the tipp team named to start doesn't start.
Also dan McCormack coming in, I don't believe in any way weakens us. One of the most underrated players in the country and regardless of who's fit or not he's too important to be leaving out of that team.
May be a wet day on Sunday and if it is I'd be fairly confident it might swing it in our favour
Both Hannon and mike casey haven't prob as many games as they'd like played this year which could work either way.

She is indeed MC. Obvious from her early posts on here.
Anyway have you ever met a Galway person with her level of bitterness?

My eldest daughter is from Galway and she can get very bitter but maybe she just picked it up from her time in Clare.
It makes so much sense now.
