on another note i was absolutely delighted for the dubs last night.victories are always sweetest when in front of your real core support.
i work in a bar in wexford and people were delighted yesterday evening to see dublin through and the only way it could have been sweeter was if we knocked kk out
unfortunately we could not keep the bargain ConnollyDub but good luck in the qualifiers

Delighted for Wexford and Davy making it to a Leinster final. This year was do or die for him and he has delivered. The final is 50/50.

On another note, Galway are out because they beat Carlow by less than the other teams. I feel for Westmeath or Laois next year, every team will keep going and will try to hammer them next year.

Yes, good point. No one is going to take it easy on the team coming up next year because of scoring difference. Maybe that's only fair because it's championship, teams aren't supposed to take it easy.

I was thinking of alternative ways around it. Head-to-head record instead of scoring difference but if four teams finish on level points as happened this year, that won't work. Or a system where the scoring difference is only counted for matches between the 3/4 teams who finished on level points.

But look, Carlow, Laois, Westmeath etc need to use the format as a motivation. "These boys want to beat us by 20 points, are we gonna let them?!"

'We'll be missed in the super6 this year too. Enjoy Wexford, Dublin, cork! All lesser sides than our squad. We put on a good show in Parnell Park. Got done by referee McAllister, and with 2or3 of our top defenders off colour so far this championship, it wound up being a live opportunity for 'the man in the middle' to actually take us out.

My God there's a group of unbelievably sore losers from this county who can't see why they are out.

You drew your home game with Wexford, you beat Carlow by 6 points, at home, when the other 3 main contenders beat them well and you LOST fair and square to Dublin.

Cork, Wexford and Dublin lesser sides. You couldn't beat the later two and Cork never fear Galway.

Ye're such bad losers and often winners too. There's a queue of ye ready to stick the knife in Mayo when they lose in football. They haven't pedigree like yourselves etc etc.

Go through the vast majority of posts from Galway supporters after both games and you'll see almost all congratulate the other team and acknowledge we weren't good enough. We got what we deserved in both codes. We're very keenly aware of our issues as you'll see in the Galway forum.

Galways score difference was still the worst if you discount matches v Carlow
