Theses a lot to be said to be brewstered, but I believe this Dublin team look on enviable at this Meath team and wish they had half price admission to Tayto Park too. ;)

Some people strive to outdo themselves for making stupid comments even when you think they couldn't possibly go any further. That is all this topic has proved so far.

Meath don't fear the Dubs.

Says a lot about what you really think of this Meath team that has failed get within a mile of this preening, pampered Dubs team!"
Well since there is only 7 on the panel of 26 that actually have ever played dubs. It says nothing about them, and two of them won't start. So that's 19 who never played them , come on mes it's leaving cert time. This is basic mathematics

Now I get your point, you believe we can't win, and so we shouldn't even try against the Dubs, but rather save ourselves for the 4th round qualifier. Essentially an expensive day out for a walkover.

But here's the thing, how can you tell a team to quit one day and then tell them they must win the next? Surely you either create an ambitious culture around the squad or you take the píss and tell the players to not bother trying 'cause it's too hard".

You can't really have it both ways, and anyway there's no place to hide in Div1 next year. If we have any ambition then we must get used to playing and beating top teams at some stage and I'm not sure quitting and hiding is the best way to make that possible."
Personally I'd be delighted if they gave it everything and came up 5 or 6 short. But to do so I feel we'll need to be level with 10 to go.

Would a couple of rows early on shake them?, apart from cluxton, is their any of the dubs team that can get down and dirty lime the ones of old ??"
Is there any of the Meath players that can do likewise!

Replying To royaldunne:  "I mean there isn't a Mullins keaveney duff Murphy even a Redmond on that team. Can u imagine Some of them if a ruck broke out?? Like let's not kid ourselves this is the most pampered inter county team of all time , and I don't think they would handle Meaths old style game, half them would run away Incase their fake tan, hairstyle or manicure would get damaged. Meath don't have that problem. So could be interesting if it got into a scrap."
It wouldn't bother Dublin in the least, no 'soft' team wins 4 in a row.

They are so much fitter and better conditioned than other Leinster teams that Meath, or anyone else in the province, would only be wasting energy.

John O'Loughlin of Laois is 15st and built like Sean O'Brien. He gave MDMA a savage uppercut 3 years ago. He got sent off and Bastick replaced MDMA. Equally as good. Today you won't get away with starting a scrap.

Yeah I am sure the Dubs will be worried when a row starts and they see Conlon and McMahon coming in. Stop focusing on nonsense and start talking about the game.

The Dubs keep trying to call their hurlers minnows but the GAA investment has brought them from total obscurity where even meath could run them close to knocking galway out of the championship.

There is no question now the money helps. None whatsoever. Dublin taking from football contenders to domination and the hurlers taken from irrelevant to contenders. The hurling investment is fantastic I just hope they give it elsewhere now because why would you want the Dublin hurlers to dominate too.

Meath the new kids on the block and can ask questions of the corporate giants.
For too long they have had it easy in leinster.
Hopefully a new rivalry will begin.

Really? Seen McMahon take out a lad lovely in a club game. Also Kilkenny will make up for Conlon, and let's not forget Brennan is worth two men at the least.

Depends on harnan starting, keoghan all year has played center half back. But the preference is probably for him to play as wing as he is a extremely good play maker. Personally I'd have James McEntee, harnan and keoghan as the halfback line. But that's if harnan is fit ,
