All-Ireland SFC qualifier draw
Round 1

Louth v Antrim -louth by 5
Down v Tipperary - down by 2
Leitrim v Wicklow - leitrim by 2
Wexford v Derry - derry by 9
Offaly v London - offaly by 8
Monaghan v Fermanagh - Monaghan by 5
Carlow v Longford - carlow by 1
Westmeath v Waterford - westmeath by 10

How do the rest of ye see it going. Get over round 1 and teams from the first round have a very real shout at getting a handy enough round two draw with not a lot of real quality (bar mayo and, to a lesser extent, Tyrone or Donegal) coming into the mix.

I expect to see two and an outside chance at 3 of the teams entered into the first round actually make the super 8s.

I've a bad feeling about the Waterford game. The defensive style tactics which Westmeath have employed all season will only get you so far. Scraping over teams so this will be another tight affair. Probably will suit Waterford actually. Westmeath by 1.

If Monaghan get over Fermanagh, they have a good chance of making the Super 8s, depending on the draw.

I wouldn't fancy any other round 1 team to make it.

I think Mayo will. So If Monaghan do, then there are 2 spots left, and I think all of the below are better than anyone else in Round 1:
3 from Cavan/Armagh/Donegal/Tyrone (with remainder winning ulster)
Kildare
Meath
Roscommon/Galway
Arguably Clare

Anyone coming thru Round 1 would be looking to draw teams like Limerick, Sligo, Laois in Round 2, similar in round 3 and Cork or Armagh/Cavan in round 4. It's a big ask for 2 to make it IMO.

Interesting times. Dream route is London -sligo-louth or another r1 winner - roscommon/meath.

The beauty of the Qualifiers!

Louth v Antrim - Antrim by 1
Down v Tipperary - Down by 2

Monaghan v Fermanagh - Fermanagh by 1

Westmeath v Waterford - Westmeath by 6

Fermanagh won me a few quid against Monaghan last year so I'll stick with the Erne County here! I also predict a good weekend for the Ulster sides in the other games.

Caolan Mooney will be a loss to Down but Tipp don't seem to be going well this year.

Laois are playing Meath next Sunday in the Leinster SFC. They are no pushover.

Thats my acca for the weekend anyway!

I expect Monaghan to get over Fermanagh in a dour affair but we need to take heed on what Donegal did and also learn the lessons from 2018. We have to shoot from further out.

They could of course win, though Meath will be favourites. If Laois do lose to Meath, they won't be an easy side in the next qualifier round.
