What's that got to do with this Topic - Disgraceful Waterford?

Yes indeed. Anyway were Waterford that bad or were Limerick very good on the day. Remember a highly rated Clare team only, and luckily, beat them by a point and Waterford, despite been down to fourteen men for most of the game were only three points behind Tipp, who are supposed to be unbeatable according to some of their adherents, well into the second playing away in Thurles.

Somebody is hurting after Tipp showed you how average you are! At least you can get on and get the club championship finished nice and early this year ;-)

Don't like the vibes coming out of Waterford, don't sound like a team playing for one another, or for the manager.
But for me, I never go out to hurl for anyone but myself.
And if Aussie Gleeson is to be considered a great player, he has to do like every great player has done - make it happen. It didn't always go the way of the best players but what they all always do is find a way, somehow, to get on the ball.
I often don't see that desire with Gleeson and I Waterford need to be able to look to him in their hour of need.
I heard from a lad in college that 1 problem was that Waterford wanted some Pat Ryan from Cork as their manager but the county board couldn't afford him? I wonder is that true?

He looked like he was getting the job and then it fell through. Mattie Kenny was also talked about for the job before he took the Dublin job. As far as I know Fanning got the job after all that happened. I'm sure one of the Waterford posters can help us out with that?

Was going to post a new topic but no point the game so far is like a challenge match, in fairness Waterford hitting hard but late so many times, how long will it be before one of them is sent off ? but then again the referee seems to be letting a lot go but blowing on simple things

Better but that was still another disgraceful performance from Waterford. They seem to have waived the very basics of the game. Worst Ive seen from a so called top county in years and their management surely needs to be questioned.

No victory in two years. Footballers have a better record. The season now rest with the footballers. If Waterford lose tomorrow to Westmeath, there is no reason why club championship does not commence immediately.

Having to say you played better after a 13 point beating is a sad reflection on our status. From being confident of playing any body to now hoping to not to get hammered makes you wonder what has gone wrong. There will be shapes thrown again next year in the useless league but no confidence going in to the championship. Someone needs to answer for this. Or all, players, management and county board.

No win in two years should be relegated plain and simple, there was up roar when Offaly survived few years ago people saying there no good, they were relegated eventually. The same won't happen to Waterford which is ridiculous, playing today with nothing on the line. Austin Gleeson got POTY few year back which was controversial, he has since disappeared and looks very average hurler

No relegation in Munster has nothing to do with Waterford. When the system was conceived Waterford were contenders and there was no way a chance of Cork or Tipp getting relegated was ever going to be allowed. If it was definite that Waterford, Clare or Limerick would be relegated every year then there would relegation.
