The 12 point winning margin makes the munster hurling series the most one sided provincial competition in either code. brisbane (Galway) - Posts: 674 - 12/06/2019 20:55:22 2194153 Link 0 |
You can't call a 5 team round robin 'one-sided', makes no sense. Clare and Waterford are poor but Tipp Limerick and Cork are the top 3 teams in the country now and can all beat eachother on the day. Whoever ends up in the Munster final, it'll be a cracker.

I'ld say Dublin, Galway, Wexford & Kilkenny would all fancy their chances against Cork. If Galway get Joe back I'ld say they are a match for Tipp & Limerick. Ye Munster lads have notions. Condorman (Dublin) - Posts: 983 - 13/06/2019 12:05:47 2194348 Link 2 |

Still upset we've beat you in 2 semi finals in the last couple of years haha!? Hopefully this year we meet you in the final.... Miami305 (Galway) - Posts: 147 - 13/06/2019 13:08:59 2194386 Link 0 |
top 3 teams based upon what? Limerick yes, current AI and league champions. Please explain the other 2? Cork were well beaten by Tipp. Tipp are looking good after a "year off" and have beaten 2 bad teams in Waterford and Clare. Miami305 (Galway) - Posts: 147 - 13/06/2019 13:12:50 2194390 Link 1 |

I have a very strong suspicion that Munster is a lot weaker than it looks. Time and space given to players beggars belief, Intensity levels are on the ground! We'll see but i don't think the All Ireland winner will come from Munster. LarryOBrother (Wexford) - Posts: 409 - 13/06/2019 14:19:46 2194444 Link 0 |
The 12 point winning margin makes the munster hurling series the most one sided provincial competition in either code. These are facts no provincial competition in football or hurling has a 12 point winning margin. The Munster competition is boring

I think the Leinster boys are confused between excitement and quality. PremierGold (Tipperary) - Posts: 121 - 13/06/2019 14:26:19 2194446 Link 1 |
What a load of.. Tipp and Limerick are being made look better than they are because Waterford and Clare have been so poor. But sure you might aswell jump around like the Duracell bunny in early June as come August or September you mightn't get a chance. P.s. I'd say the 'pulling power' of the Munster Championship is nothing compared to your own ;)

Hard to argue with those rankings, Tipp have most definitely been the form team in this year's championship, and while the jury may be still out, they have been highly impressive in their three games to date. Limerick are champions and after getting brought back down to earth by Cork, they are looking very impressive yet again, whilst Cork can beat anyone on a given day. Outside of that Galway have played one decent game all year, and Saturday might give us a better indication as to where Galway are in 2019. Outside of that, it's hard to see Kilkenny, Wexford or Dublin going all the way, with a semi final spot probably the best any of those sides could hope for.

Probably a realistic assessment of the whole thing. But at the same time every hurling fan knows June form has no bearing on lifting Liam. Its a while since the Munster champions became all Ireland champions the same year......
