In today's Independent, a good and interesting article about high scoring in today's hurling contained this this: Cockney_Cat (UK) - Posts: 2419 - 28/05/2019 18:11:16 2188571 Link 0 |
They're just not bothered with it, simple as. Its not a totally new phenomenon either, look at the Goalie sticks Noel Skehan used!! Bon (Kildare) - Posts: 1893 - 28/05/2019 20:08:27 2188607 Link 0 |
Its true. Instead of changing the sliothar size they should fix whats wrong first. There are outfield players using goalie hurleys now and it needs to be stopped before they all line out with frying pans.

Don't need a big bas to get distance, but it helps. I find the thickness makes a huge difference. My Star hurls feel like baseball bats & weigh more than sticks 2 inches longer made by Phelan's of Ballyhale & B. Barcoe(best I've owned) of somewhere near there. I feel like I'm hurling w/a baseball bat with the Stars hurley's & although I get more distance with them nothing compares to a Cultec. They send it! A non issue.
