Just describing accurately what is happening. Fouling, wasting time, 15 men behind the ball. I have criticised my own county for it for years but at least we are trying to play football lately. Donegal on the other hand have reverted to type. Wally (Tyrone) - Posts: 912 - 08/06/2019 18:19:05 2191773 Link 0 |
Filthy from McCann considering he hit the deck when someone tickled his hair. lilylanger (Kildare) - Posts: 758 - 08/06/2019 18:23:08 2191775 Link 5 |
Fair play donegal far better lteam. Harte was a black card no doubt. Thought donegal got soft frees but wouldn't have matter, only looked like 1 winner from first 10 minutes. kevin03 (Tyrone) - Posts: 276 - 08/06/2019 18:35:48 2191781 Link 1 |

I'd say most players out there spent more time on the ground than on the ball!!!! arock (Dublin) - Posts: 4895 - 08/06/2019 18:42:54 2191786 Link 0 |
McCann's actions were shocking, disgraceful behaviour . sean og (Armagh) - Posts: 1053 - 08/06/2019 18:42:59 2191787 Link 5 |
You are on something. We took way better scores than Tyrone today.

Super stuff from Donegal, Congratulations. GeniusGerry (Kerry) - Posts: 2105 - 08/06/2019 18:47:26 2191791 Link 2 |
Good luck in the qualifiers Wally. Tiernan McCann exemplified everything I spoke about earlier. A long suspension if right is right. Lifford Gael (Donegal) - Posts: 1925 - 08/06/2019 18:51:11 2191792 Link 0 |
Good win for Donegal, far better side, better score takers and energy. Tyrone looked like they had no confidence once Harte departed, but that's not a good sign as all top teams have to be able to soldier on even harder once they lose one of their top men. realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8586 - 08/06/2019 18:51:46 2191793 Link 0 |
Donegal look a serious team, hot hot favourites for Ulster, I think they can improve as well, perhaps Dublin"s biggest challengers sean og (Armagh) - Posts: 1053 - 08/06/2019 18:57:33 2191798 Link 1 |
Donegal were the better team by a distance. Better players, better organised, better game plan. Tyrone just huffed and puffed but didn't blow too many houses down. Tyrone look bereft of ideas and leadership. They haven't got the scoring power anymore. Tyrone need fresh thinking. Ulsterman (Antrim) - Posts: 9697 - 08/06/2019 18:59:36 2191800 Link 0 |
Typical response from a Tyrone poster. This result didn't surprise me and the style of Donegal football was a joy to watch. The kick outs, fielding, forward rotation/movement, point taking and the disciplined (honest) defending was great to watch. Every newspaper you open or radio/TV station you turn on a Tyrone cheerleader is there due to the amount of Tyrone greats in the media. They are a solid Div 1 team and whilst lucky with the All Ireland draw last season in essence they're an average team who don't have the forwards to compete for an All Ireland. I've my doubts if any of the Tyrone forwards would get onto the Donegal starting forward line never mind Dublin, Mayo's or Kerry's. Unlike Ballybofey last season Donegal had their big players back and are doing great work up there. I tipped them to win the Ulster Championship and I've always felt they're the only Ulster team with any chance of realistically competing later in the year. People critcise Tyrone's style before this year but as today showed MH has did a remarkable job in ensuring they compete. Long way back for Tyrone, they just don't seem to be producing the classy players like the Donegal's are. Well done Donegal they'll be delighted to show they were always well ahead of Tyrone. sam1884 (UK) - Posts: 999 - 08/06/2019 19:11:48 2191808 Link 0 |
Deserved win for Donegal. Best tactics, gk, defence, midfield and forwards. Even looking at the final score I'm sure Tyrone cant really argue with who was better throughout. Donegal should win Ulster and be in the mix late summer. Tyrone need to find another gear fast! SaffronDon (Antrim) - Posts: 2385 - 08/06/2019 19:16:39 2191810 Link 0 |
Tyrone were woeful, made an average Donegal outfit look half decent. Tyrone will be there in sept, just a blip. They were bad today , thats out of system now cacsmckilly (Tyrone) - Posts: 1294 - 08/06/2019 19:18:04 2191811 Link 0 |
Great win well done Donegal, best day yet for Murphy I thought, he was brilliant. Tryrone find it so hard to adapt when they go behind. giveitlong (Galway) - Posts: 1217 - 08/06/2019 19:22:07 2191813 Link 0 |

Never doubted today's result. Was just that it was way easier than expected. Still though it will stand us in good stead for stiffer challenges ahead. Lifford Gael (Donegal) - Posts: 1925 - 08/06/2019 19:28:02 2191820 Link 0 |
The most impressive part of that performance for me was lads that you knew had the talent really stepping up today. Ciaran Thompson for example fielded some brilliant ball. McMenamin did a great job inside against Donnelly. Jamie Brennan had little to prove in my eyes but he showed it again today. Langan very good and can improve further. Patton, what can you say, brilliant performance. JoeSoap (Donegal) - Posts: 1432 - 08/06/2019 19:35:38 2191823 Link 2 |
