Didn't see as emphatic a Meath win coming I must say, hats off.. all games from here on in to be interesting in this championship. Not saying anyone will put it up to Dublin, but interesting as they'll show how far Kildare/Meath have progressed/regressed against them, if they do end up being the two teams Dublin play.

Well so much for your funny feeling -:)

Meath were just average. Carlow missing key players and their best player sent off. The laois/westmeath match should be tight and the winner vs meath the same. Likewise Longford vs Kildare.

Tend to agree with you. Congrats to Meath on their win but the 2 goals in the 3 minutes before ht changed what had been a close game up to that point.

Carlow lost Brendan Murphy to suspension, Broderick and Lawlor to injury and Sean Murphy sending off ended it as a contest.

Hope Meath can improve and give the dubs a rattle but having watched the dubs v Louth I'd doubt it.

I was going to refrain from sticking the boot into carlow but your post has to be answered. You say the 2 goals changed the game well that's nonsense meath had 2 good goal chances before that they should have taken and after going 4 up got sloppy and yee tagged on a few scores. As for the thugs sending off ending it as a contest, it was well over by then. Carlows constant pulling dragging and punching was shocking and I dont think they had any intention of playing football. I think that team and management let their county down yesterday

Didn't think that the game was over at 0-5 to 0-4 before the goals. As I said Meath were the better team but the second game looked a different standard.

Hope I'm wrong as Dublin winning leinster for 10 years doesn't help the province.

Notice the tiny crowd from Louth yesterday and the fact that 4 counties couldn't even fill Portlaoise.
