The Connacht football championship is just around the corner now and I'm just recalling that Leitrim will likely have to beat Roscommon at Hyde Park, Mayo and Galway (in that order) to win a provincial senior title this summer. They've had a great league campaign but Emlyn Mulligan's reaction after the draw was made last year I think said it all. It 100% is the time to restructure the championship but there for better reasons than a 1 off really bad draw in Connacht for Leitrim. It begs the question is it time to restructure the All-Ireland championship?" well use to that in Ulster... if Derry were to win Ulster this year..... they would have to win 4 games & beat Tyrone, Antrim, Donegal( or Fermanagh) & Monaghan( or 1 of Cavan/Armagh /Down to do so!
