Ok Let the negotiations begin as with the churches the capital must be in Mullingar. Pairc Tailteann will be sold so we build a proper stadium in our united Meath as i explaned to another poor post soul Midhe means middle so all major facilities to Mullingar. All the Mcentees with their wood burning obsession would have to be expelled.

Correct about Moneygall GAA pitch in Tipperary, Riverstown is just across theLittle Brosna River in Tipperary, while Carrig village, and hurling pitch is a few miles further in Tipperary. Never knew why there was a switch of clubs, love to know the reason. I think Ballyskenach club, currently amalgamated with Killavilla, playing in Offaly, once played in Tipperary. Some historian might confirm this. Diarmuid Kirwan, Cork based referee, has his roots in Ballyskenach. Club are near the Cistecian College. thelongridge (Offaly) - Posts: 1735 - 13/05/2019 19:21:45 2183786 Link 0 |

Your predictions for Meath hurling are as wildly optimistic as your notions about playing the Dubs in football. Tell me seriously how would we ever integrate with a self deluded county whose big ball manager won't allow his players who managed FOUR points in eighty minutes play for their clubs in the Meath senior hurling championship. Are Meath hurling clubs as ineffective at county board level as Mcentees notions of forward play.

There are rumours swirling about the Curragh Camp that Kildare are planning to annex Summerhill , Enfield and Kilcloon of south Meath while Edenderry in Offaly is next on the target.. A Greater Kildare will be an All Ireland contender within 5 years ... 11jm11 (Kildare) - Posts: 365 - 24/06/2019 09:01:48 2199615 Link 0 |

Ballyskenagh is certainly in Offaly but is actually part of Roscrea parish which may explain why they once played in Tipp. The Cistercian College is also in Roscrea parish but in County Offaly, which probably explains why they compete in Leinster rather than Munster.

Reuniting Meath forwards with the location of the goal posts in Crome Park would be a good start. tirawleybaron (Mayo) - Posts: 1105 - 25/06/2019 05:09:40 2200404 Link 1 |

It's like asking the Israelis and Palestinians to unite. It would never happen.

There's a map of Ireland in McAlpin's restaurant, Cheekpoint, Co. Waterford (great seafood, by the way) dating from the 17th or 18th century which shows the county boundaries, largely unchanged from today from what I can see. But current day Westmeath is called "Meath" and current day Meath is called "East Meath". Interesting to know how that switched around over the years. ballydalane (Kilkenny) - Posts: 1246 - 25/06/2019 23:18:28 2200995 Link 0 |
Here is a plan. Make Dublin a province and the interprovincial championship be the premier competition. And just to make sure people know this award the Sam Maguire to the winners. shaneShankill (Dublin) - Posts: 42 - 25/06/2019 23:57:16 2201010 Link 0 |
Hurling is growing rapidly in South meath clubs where the population has been growing and this without sugar Daddy GAA backing it up. The meath county board don't care for hurling. If they along with croke park seriously tried to increase hurling in the bigger clubs across meath who can support both codes it would flourish. It breaks my heart not seeing it happen because we could honestly have a decent hurling side in 20 years. Jack_Goff (Meath) - Posts: 2920 - 26/06/2019 01:58:06 2201029 Link 5 |
